 Abstract

Social media is a digital platform for communication and content development and allows one to share information, opinions, ideas and many other things and also provide numerous options to create the content. The present study explores the usage of social media platforms among the students of Amritsar district. The study found that 86 percent respondents have their personal mobile phone and 88 percent respondents use social media platforms. Almost 24 percent respondents reported that they spend 2-3 hours on an average on social media websites, whereas 12 percent respondents spend more than five hours daily on social media. Almost 24 percent of the respondents often found themselves using social media. Around 28.8 percent respondents agreed or strongly agreed with the statement that they often found life to be boring without social media.

 Abstract

Disruption of normal structure and function of skin and underlying soft tissue is wound; it is caused by trauma, infection & chronic mechanical stress. It can be divided chronologically in acute & chronic. Factors needed for healing wound are proper vascular supply, cure infection, free of necrotic tissue & moist, but some wounds not healed by proper management in bioscience and this condition is equated with Dushta Vrana. Dushta Vrana, or chronic non-healing ulcers, poses significant challenges in clinical practice, particularly among patients with compromised immune systems or chronic diseases. Acharya Sushruta mentioned sixty treatment modalities to treat Vrana. Here we present a case of Dushta Varna (Non-healing wound) & successful management by application of Ayurvedic drug preparation. This case study investigates the comprehensive Ayurvedic management of a 45-year-old male laborer presenting with a 15 days history of a non-healing ulcer on the left heel region, characterized by persistent pain, purulent discharge, and systemic symptoms such as fever and generalized weakness. Using Ayurvedic principles, we aimed to address the underlying dosha imbalances, enhance wound healing, and improve the patient's overall well-being. After 2 weeks of intervention, significant improvements were observed: the wound size decreased markedly, pain levels were substantially reduced, and systemic symptoms resolved. The patient's overall health improved.

 Abstract

This study evaluates the physico-chemical characteristics of water from the Amravati Reservoir in Malpur, Maharashtra, India. Given its significance for irrigation, drinking water, and fisheries, assessing the water quality is essential. A analysis was performed from July 2023 to June 2024, examining parameters such as temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), free CO2, total dissolved solids (TDS), nitrates, phosphates, and total hardness. The results revealed seasonal fluctuations in these parameters, with distinct differences observed during the pre-monsoon, monsoon, and post-monsoon phases. The water's pH was slightly alkaline, and the DO levels indicated a healthy oxygen supply in the reservoir. These findings can aid in developing guidelines for the sustainable management of the Amravati Reservoir's water resources and bolster conservation initiatives.

 Abstract

Personality prediction is a large area of research. Predicting personality using data from social media is a promising method because it doesn't require users to fill out surveys, which saves time and increases accuracy. Predicting personality has many real-world uses. As social media use continues to grow, a huge amount of text and images are shared online every day. Since most people share a lot of personal information, both knowingly and unknowingly, in their posts, it's possible to figure out personality traits from these texts. Finding individual personality traits from texts opens up many opportunities for different areas, like the forensic field, mental health assessments, and more. Deep learning algorithms are quite effective for text-based personality detection. In this study, we focus on a mixed deep learning approach, which combines different types of neural networks and machine learning techniques.

 Abstract

This study contrasts the level of admiration that students have for celebrities in government and private high schools in Lucknow, India. The investigation involved five hundred students from twelve distinct colleges, including both public and private institutions. The Celebrity Worship Scale (CWS) was implemented to quantify various aspects of celebrity involvement. In particular, the intense-personal and borderline-pathological characteristics demonstrated that private school students held celebrities in much higher regard than their public-school peers. The research suggests that the socio-economic status and cultural exposure of students at private institutions could influence their opinions of personalities. Researchers urge instructors and parents to be more cognizant of the impact of social media on adolescent behaviors associated with celebrity culture and suggest that additional research be conducted.

 Abstract

A migraine is a common recurring disorder characterised by blinding headaches that may last from 4 hours to 3 days. These headaches are often accompanied by other symptoms including nausea, vomiting, photophobia, and phonophobia (Goadsby et al. 2017). Additionally, there are two main forms of migraine: migraine with aura i.e. neurological symptoms such as flashing lights or tingling limbs occur before the pain, and migraine without aura refers to pain that occurs without any previous symptoms. Within a span of a lifetime, migraines affect approximately one out of every seven persons on the planet making them disabling particularly in women aged between 18 and 49 years

 Abstract

"The combination of Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) with Mitral Valve Repair (MVR) has emerged as an integrated approach to address the dual challenges of coronary artery disease and mitral valve dysfunction. This abstract summarizes the Dietary modifications to be followed after the surgery and outcomes of the CABG WITH MVR procedure. The simultaneous repair of coronary arteries and mitral valve ensures optimal heart function and enhances patient quality of life. The patient must adhere to the recommended diet in order to preserve their health after the procedure. To keep their weight within a healthy range, they must primarily concentrate on consuming less fat and more fiber also consuming fewer sodium and sugar-containing products. In addition to diet moderate physical activity can effectively help the patient for achieving healthy lifestyle.

 Abstract

The observational study conducted in Rampur district, covering an area of 2,367 km2, aimed to explore its floristic diversity. A total of 526 plant species were documented, representing 398 genera and 109 families. Among these, dicotyledons comprised 419 species from 308 genera and 87 families, while monocotyledons accounted for 107 species from 90 genera and 22 families. Notably, Poaceae, Fabaceae, and Asteraceae emerged as the most dominant families within Rampur district's flora. Analysis of the origin status of the flora revealed that 217 plant species (41.25%) were native to the region, while 309 species (58.75%) were identified as exotic. This distribution highlights the significant presence of non-native species within the district's plant community. These findings provide valuable insights into Rampur district's floral wealth, shedding light on the diverse array of plant life present in the region. However, the prevalence of exotic species underscores the importance of monitoring and managing non-native flora to maintain ecological balance and preserve native biodiversity.

 Abstract

The paper aims to examine the performance of embankments that are constructed over soft soil. The experimental investigation was carried out by performing model tests of the embankments over the soft soil condition without any reinforcement. A model embankment of 400mm in height was constructed on top of a soft clay bed of 500mm in a model testing tank. The load was applied in increments, settlements, and lateral displacements were recorded. According to test data, the embankment founded on soft clay exhibits more deformations without any ground improvement. Hence, the need for reinforcement is required, especially in the construction of embankments. The values from the test agree with the theoretical results.
