 Abstract

In today's world, the number of vehicles is increasing, which makes the disposal of used tires a significant problem. Tires do not easily decompose and can harm the environment. Therefore, it is important to find ways to reuse or repurpose tires. One solution is to use tires in concrete. Waste tires can be utilized by modifying rubber chips and replacing the coarse aggregate. This study investigates the use of waste tires in M25 grade concrete at 7%, 10%, and 12%.

 Abstract

This paper, titled "Judicial Activism through Public Interest Litigation: An Indian Perspective," examines the evolution, impact, and implications of judicial activism in India through the mechanism of Public Interest Litigation (PIL). The Indian judiciary, through an innovative interpretation of constitutional provisions, has developed PIL as a tool to expand access to justice for marginalized and vulnerable sections of society. Judicial activism has enabled the courts to intervene in matters related to human rights, environmental protection, socio-economic rights, and other significant public interest issues. The paper provides a historical overview of the development of PIL, highlighting the transformative role played by the judiciary since the late 1970s. It discusses landmark cases such as Hussainara Khatoon v. State of Bihar , S.P. Gupta v. Union of India, Vishaka v. State of Rajasthan, and M.C. Mehta v. Union of India, which illustrate the judiciary's proactive stance in addressing various social and legal concerns. The analysis also explores the constitutional basis for PIL, emphasizing the expansive interpretations of Articles 32, 21, and 226 that have been instrumental in shaping judicial activism in India. Further, the paper critically assesses the impact of judicial activism, noting its successes in securing rights and enhancing social justice while also addressing concerns related to judicial overreach and the misuse of PIL. It evaluates critiques of judicial activism, particularly the challenges it poses to the separation of powers and the potential for PIL to be misused for political or frivolous purposes. The judiciary's evolving principles to regulate and manage PIL to prevent abuse are also explored. The paper concludes by discussing the future of judicial activism in India, examining emerging areas such as digital rights, climate change, and social welfare issues where the judiciary's intervention through PIL may play a crucial role. Recommendations for maintaining a balance between activism and restraint are offered, highlighting the need for judicial integrity and adherence to constitutional limits while ensuring that PIL remains a genuine tool for public interest and social transformation. This study contributes to the understanding of how judicial activism through PIL has reshaped the Indian legal landscape, reinforcing the judiciary's role as a guardian of rights and social justice while emphasizing the need for responsible and balanced use of judicial power.  Abstract

This research investigates the intricate relationship between personality traits and academic achievement motivation among International Medical Students at USM-KLE International Medical College in Belagavi city, Karnataka, India. Using a quantitative approach, the study employs the Eysenck Personality Inventory to measure traits such as Extroversion and Neuroticism, while academic achievement motivation is assessed through the validated Deo Mohan Achievement Motivation Scale. The primary objective is to unveil the nuanced interplay between these personality dimensions and the motivation to excel academically. The study involves a sample of 173 first-year medical students spanning academic years 2020-2021 through 2023-2024. Findings from the analysis reveal no significant correlations and potential predictors contributing to academic success. Implications of this research extend to educational practitioners, policymakers, and researchers, offering valuable insights for the development of personalized learning strategies and interventions tailored to individual personality profiles. These results make a noteworthy contribution to the existing body of literature on student motivation and achievement, fostering a deeper understanding of the multifaceted factors influencing academic success.

 Abstract

Abstract: Rapid increase in population and wants more benefits for easy means of living, man seeks more lands and profits to attain their satisfaction. The earth's temperature has historically been habitable due to deforestation, but due to enforced actions, severely affected agriculture. The objectives of the study are to identify the impact of deforestation and ecological imbalance as well as environmental degradation in the state. The present study is based on secondary data collected from Census, e-sources, publications as well as from field visits. The finding data are depicted with charts and graphs. The climate of Manipur is mostly affected by location, altitude, the direction of the dominant winds, seasonal rhythm, etc. Deforestation for shifting cultivation of various rabbi and kharif crops, including paddy and poppy plants are terrifically degrading in both soil and environment. Agriculture and climate are closely linked to global processes. Gradually increasing of temperature, uncertain floods, droughts and hailstorms are very common in the state. The majority of the state's development policies have been cantered on "growth first, cleanup later," with environmental concerns receiving little attention and little policy priority. As a result, the state's agriculture, forests, soil quality, freshwater ecosystems, health risks, air quality, and biodiversity have all declined. To keep these in mind, an alternative permanent solution is highly needed. Keywords: Climate Changes, Soil degradation, Seasonal Crops, Deforestation, Biodiversity

It has a watertight link with the avenues of income available at the destination. It can be permanent or semi-permanent.  Abstract

Before the British officially annexed Manipur in 1891, its strategic location between India and China made it a crucial zone for British geopolitical and commercial interests. British involvement deepened with the outbreak of the Third Anglo-Burmese War (1885), leading to growing control over Manipur's politics. The Anglo-Manipuri War of 1891 was a turning point, resulting in British annexation and the reduction of Manipur's monarchy to a puppet regime. British governance introduced administrative and legal reforms that disrupted indigenous political systems and brought about profound social and cultural changes. Western education and missionary activities reshaped local traditions, especially in the hill regions. Economically, British policies led to changes in land tenure, agriculture, and trade, aligning Manipur more closely with British India's colonial economy. Despite these changes, Manipur became a center for resistance against British rule, with women playing a significant role in uprisings such as the Nupi Lan. By the 1930s, nationalist sentiment had spread, culminating in Manipur's brief independence in 1947 before integration into India. British colonialism left a lasting impact on Manipur's political, social, and economic fabric, shaping its modern identity.

 Abstract

Vyasa who said 'death is not the end of life, it is only a transformation of life', who remained far away from awards, fame and recognition of the academic sector, mostly did not get publicity but gave unique stories to the Kannada literary world. For him, literature means - 'An attempt to give shape to the mind, the ways of the mind, the glory of the pleasures of the mind in it's own way. A unique literary, social and religious vision is that the truly active poet is the storyteller who knows the depths of despair when the microscopic vibrations of the mind are truly heard.'
