Social media has emerged as a powerful influence on dental treatment perceptions, motivations, and decision-making. Platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and WhatsApp serve as primary sources for patients to access information, share experiences, and observe peer and influencer content, with visual tools like before-and-after images and augmented reality simulations shaping expectations. While social media increases awareness of treatment options, including fixed appliances and clear aligners, it also fosters cosmetic-driven motivations, trend-based behaviors, and, in some cases, unrealistic expectations. The dissemination of non-verified or misleading content can negatively affect compliance, satisfaction, and treatment outcomes, particularly among younger patients susceptible to social comparison and aesthetic pressures. Active professional engagement by orthodontists, emphasizing evidence-based, ethical, and educational content, is crucial to guide patients, counter misinformation, and promote realistic treatment understanding. Responsible utilization of social media can enhance patient education, motivation, and informed decision-making in contemporary orthodontic practice.

Pratishyaya, described extensively in Ayurvedic Samhitas, is a nasal disorder arising from the vitiation of Tridoshas and their abnormal movement toward the Nasa Pradesh. When neglected, it develops into Jeerna Pratishyaya, a chronic condition characterized by persistent nasal obstruction, foul smell, anosmia, purulent discharge, and aggravated complications such as sinusitis, kasa, and swasa. Ayurveda describes Nasa as "Shiraso Dwaram," highlighting its clinical importance. Modern anatomy supports this by describing the complex structure and functions of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses, which play critical roles in respiration, filtration, warming, humidification, and olfaction. This extended article synthesizes Ayurvedic and modern anatomical perspectives of Nasa Sharir and correlates structural defects with the chronicity of Pratishyaya. Shlokas from Charaka, Sushruta, and others are included for authenticity, along with complete referencing.

The global frequency of rotundity has further than doubled over the once four decades, presently affecting further than a billion individualities. Beyond its recognition as a high- threat condition that's causally linked to numerous habitual ails, rotundity has been declared a complaint per se that results in disabled quality of life and reduced life expectation. The case with rotundity is at threat of developing cardiovascular complaint and threat factors. Rotundity negatively impacts prognostic and increases cardiovascular morbidity and mortality rates. Therefore, to ascertain the cardiovascular threat of the case and, consequently, an appropriate operation and treatment, a thorough threat assessment is required. In this review, we essay to epitomize the relationship between rotundity and cardiovascular conditions and outline the underpinning mechanisms. The demonstrated new ways of cardiac individual procedures allow for the early discovery and treatment of subclinical medical conditions and, thus, the forestallment of cardiovascular events.

Herbal medicines have been used for centuries due to their therapeutic potential and relatively low toxicity. However, many herbal extracts suffer from limitations such as poor solubility, instability, low bioavailability, and rapid metabolism, which restrict their clinical applications. Nanoformulation approaches--such as nanoparticles, liposomes, phytosomes, nanoemulsions, dendrimers, and nanogels--have emerged as promising strategies to overcome these limitations. This review highlights different nanoformulation techniques applied to herbal extracts, their advantages, challenges, and future perspectives in phytomedicineUtilizing plant extracts to produce silver nanoparticles (SNPs) is a sustainable and practical substitute for traditional chemical and physical methods. This review focuses on the various uses of plant-mediated SNPs in photocatalysis, environmental cleanup, and biomedicine. Plant extracts with broad phytochemical profiles, such as tulsi (Ocimum sanctum), turmeric (Curcuma longa), neem (Azadirachta indica), and many others, have been utilized as stabilizing and reducing agents. Outstanding features of the resultant SNPs include improved photocatalytic degradation of organic dyes like methylene blue, antibacterial efficacy against pathogens resistant to multiple drugs, biocompatibility for potential therapeutic uses, regulated magnitude (10-50 nm), increased rigidity, and adjustable surface plasmon resonance.

Abstract Healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) have been among the main problems that modern medicine has to face, especially those patients who receive implantable medical devices (IMDs). One of the causes that bacterial colonization and biofilm formation on device surfaces often make traditional antibiotic therapies to be ineffective, thus leading to the increase of antimicrobial resistance. Some breakthroughs in materials science, nanotechnology, and surface engineering have allowed the manufacturing of an antimicrobial coating with the properties of inhibiting bacterial adhesion, interrupting biofilm growth, and improving the biocompatibility of the device. The main technologies comprise silver nanoparticles, antimicrobial peptides, antibiotic-eluting polymers, and biofilm-resistant hydrophilic polymers. Their application is attracting great interest because the risk of infection and safety of patients can be improved significantly, yet some obstacles like cytotoxicity, long-term stability, and regulatory approval still exist. The first part of the review deals with the mechanisms, applications, and limitations of antimicrobial coatings for IMDs as well as the explanation of future concepts such as smart and stimuli-responsive coatings incorporating biosensing and targeted drug delivery for next-generation infection control.
