 Abstract

The conventional routes of drug administration remain most popular and convenient methods with many Advantages. But it also has number of disadvantages and challenges, like Frequent dosing, Fluctuation in bioavailability, release date/time of drug. Over the last two Decades, Two major challenges in front of novel drug delivery. First is achieving sustained zero order release of drug for long period of time, and second one is controlled delivery of therapeutic molecule. To overcome these problems, there was essential need to develop new dosage form that release drug at controlled rate at targeted site. A promising alternative delivery method is the use of polymeric implantable devices that deliver drug molecules. It results in improvement of novel drug delivery system which optimizes therapeutic properties of drug. Implantable drug delivery system provides constant release rate, targeted delivery, reduced dosing with minimizing adverse effects. Currently various techniques of implantation are used for number of therapeutic applications like oncology, dentistry, ophthalmology, contraception, neurology, etc. In this review we discuss about these implants and their implantation techniques.

 Abstract

This paper addresses the emerging fields of energy harvesting technology in the remote control, which is an alternative to battery-dependent devices. There has been an increasing trend for electronic devices, along with an increase in the number of batteries that need to be disposed and take proper care of. Energy harvesting remotes solve this problem by harvesting energy from various components like piezoelectric generator or solar cells. A battery poisoning something like this not only decreases but the battery itself is also completely eliminated from devices and remotes. This paper is instructive in the sense that it looks forward to the integration of energy harvesting in the aspects of available technologies, advantages, limitations, and prospects of the future considering the need for sustainable development.

 Abstract

In life, nutrition is really important at all times. It also happens during pregnancy, and for good reason. Not Only Should the growing offspring have enough nutrients, but the mother's body should also receive adequate nourishment. Pregnancy Nutrition directly affects the health of the motherand the fetus. Ideal fetal growth is guaranteed by optimum nutrition.Additionally, it guarantees a lower chance of contracting illness later in life, particularly chronicnon-communicable diseases.Reviewing the dietary needs during pregnancy and emphasizing the negative effects of inadequate consumption are the objectives of this article. Healthy diet in pregnancy should ensure proper fetal growth, good maternal health and lactation. Good fetal supply is also achieved through increased intestinal absorption or reduced excretion via the kidney or gastrointestinal tract. Nutritional counseling and interventions need to be an integral part of antenatal and pregnancy careThis review offers information to assist health professionals with advising pregnant women of the important nutrition considerations during pregnancy. The roles of some of the key nutrients are discussed, including folate, iodine, iron, calcium, and vitamin D

 Abstract

This survey explores the various vector-indexed and graph-based approaches employed in Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, a paradigm that enhances large language models (LLMs) by incorporating external knowledge through retrieval mechanisms. RAG systems enable LLMs to generate more accurate, contextually aware, and informative responses by integrating external documents or structured data during the generation process. We delve into two main techniques: vector-indexed retrieval, which leverages high-dimensional vector embeddings and methods like Hierarchical Navigable Small World Graphs (HNSW) for efficient approximate nearest neighbor search, and graph-based retrieval, which utilizes knowledge graphs to store and query relational data. We examine the key stages involved in these approaches, including data preprocessing, embedding generation, search algorithms, and integration with LLMs. Furthermore, we address the challenges of handling large-scale data and unstructured information. The paper provides a comprehensive overview of the current methods, their strengths, and the limitations of RAG.

 Abstract

Jatropha hulls, a by-product of jatropha oil production, are an abundant and undervalued resource. In this study, we explored the possibility of making biomass briquettes from jatropha husks using different compaction and peat clay binder techniques. The briquettes thus obtained were characterized to determine their physical and energetic properties. The results showed that the jatropha hull briquettes exhibited favorable combustion properties, with high calorific value and reduced emissions of air pollutants. This approach offers an innovative solution to valorize jatropha hulls while providing a renewable and clean fuel source.

 Abstract

This study investigates the numerical modelling of a pile-raft foundation system on soft clay and loose sand using PLAXIS 2D. The main goal is to assess settlement behaviour in pile-raft systems with variations in pile lengths, soil cohesion, and internal friction angles. Two distinct soil profiles are analyzed: one with a soft clay layer over medium-dense sand, and another with loose sand over medium-dense sand. The simulation captures undrained behavior for clay and drained behavior for sand to better understand the soil-pile raft interaction. By utilizing the embedded pile model in PLAXIS 2D, the study examines the interaction between piles, rafts, and the underlying soils, offering insights into settlement behaviour. Results showed that extending pile length from 9 m to 15 m achieved significant settlement reduction (around 25.62%), with a notable quadratic trend between pile length and settlement. However, changes to raft thickness have minimal effect on settlement, suggesting that optimizing pile length is a more effective design strategy. Additionally, the study highlights that increased soil cohesion and higher internal friction angles further reduced the settlement, stressing the importance of considering both soil characteristics and design variables in pile-raft foundation optimization. These results offer practical insights for engineers, emphasizing that pile length and soil properties are critical factors for effective settlement control in foundation design.

 Abstract

The genotoxic impurity methyl p-toulene sulfonate (MPT) poses a significant health risk in the pharmaceutical products. This has aimed on the development and evaluation of the analytical method based on the chromatographic conditions where gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) have quantified and detected the MPT in pharmaceutical drug formulation. The method was validated for selectivity, sensitivity, precision and accuracy and robustness following International Council for Harmonisation (ICH) guidelines. It has added on limits of detection (LOD) and Quantification (LOQ) as well as recovery rates were assessed. It has proposed on the methods which shows excellent specificity for MPT, with reliable detection and low concentration, making it promising tool with the pharmaceutical quality control and genotoxic impurity testing.

 Abstract

The design and simulation of a comprehensive health monitoring and position tracking system for soldiers, developed using IoT technology and tested in Proteus. Targeting the limitations of traditional military tracking systems, this solution integrates an STM32F401CB microcontroller with sensors and utilizes the LoRa SX1278 module for long-range, low-power data transmission. Due to Proteus simulation constraints, real-time visualization was limited, with only GPS functionality successfully validated through NMEA sentence display. Nevertheless, this scalable system demonstrates strong potential for real-time health monitoring and position tracking, promising enhanced safety and rapid response capabilities for soldiers in remote military operations.

 Abstract

Rabha and Bodo language originated from Tibeto-Burman group of greater Sino-Tibetan Language family. The Bodo and Rabha people are found mainly in Assam and its adjacent areas, North-Bengal part of West Bengal, Nepal and Bangladesh. As these communities are from the same Group, their languages shares similarities in many aspects like language, culture, social system and so on. Both the languages are spoken in the same geographical area of Assam and its neighboring areas and the language duo influence each other.
