 Abstract

The integration of sustainability into art therapy facility design is examined in this paper with an emphasis on how ecologically friendly architecture might improve therapeutic results. Incorporating sustainable design concepts guarantees that art therapy centers are not only practical but also in harmony with the environment. Art therapy centers are places for creativity and healing. The study looks at how to create therapeutic places that promote mental and emotional well-being using eco-friendly construction techniques, biophilic design, energy-efficient technologies, and natural materials. This study highlights important design techniques that support sustainability and therapeutic objectives. It emphasizes how components that minimize environmental effect while promoting a peaceful, restorative environment include natural light, indoor vegetation, and the use of renewable resources. This study lays the groundwork for a more comprehensive approach to therapeutic architecture by highlighting the significance of designing environments that not only promote personal healing but also benefit the world.

 Abstract

Background: To analyze the affect of antihypertensive medications like calcium channel blockers (CCB) and Angiotensin receptor blockers (ARB) at bedtime on Ocular perfusion pressure (OPP) and severity of Primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG). Material and methods: A case-control study of 60 glaucoma patients were included over 6 months. There were 40 glaucoma patients on antihypertensive drugs (20 on calcium channel blockers and 20 on angiotensin receptor blockers) and 20 without hypertension (Controls) in each of the three groups. Results: The two groups of antihypertensive drugs were calcium channel blockers (CCB) and angiotensin receptor blockers (ARB). When compared to controls, the use of calcium channel blockers (CCB) and angiotensin receptor blockers (ARB) was found to increase the progression of OAG slightly (CI 49.25 - 55.67, CI 44.34 - 57.20, and CI 51.19 - 60.35, respectively); this was discovered because the P-value in ocular perfusion pressure (0.0074) is statistically significant. Conclusions: Antihypertensive drugs lower blood pressure, which in turn lowers perfusion pressure. This will negatively impact glaucoma patients with already weakened optic nerve head.

 Abstract

The integration of sustainable materials and methods in modern construction is imperative to mitigate environmental degradation. Cob, an ancient earthen building material, offers high sustainability when paired with contemporary waste-utilization techniques, such as incorporating fly ash--a by-product of coal combustion. This study explores the post-construction interior design of a cob farmhouse, focusing on aesthetic appeal, functionality, and environmental performance. The research highlights fly ash's role in enhancing thermal properties, reducing environmental impact, and creating eco-friendly, aesthetically pleasing interiors.

 Abstract

Grüneisen parameter is an important physical quantity for investigating thermal and elastic properties of solids at high pressures and high temperatures. The volume dependence of Grüneisen parameter is needed to predict melting temperatures of solids at high pressures with the help of the Lindemann law. A simple linear relationship between Grüneisen parameter and pressures derivative of bulk modulus has been formulated for the entire range of compressions. Values of Grüneisen parameter have been determined for a wide range of compressions in case of NaCl, NaF, LiF, MgO, CaF2 and SiC. The results for pressure derivative of bulk modulus based on the Holzapfel equation of state have been used as input data. A comparison of the values of Grüneisen parameter at different volume compressions determined in the present study is made with the corresponding values obtained from the slopes of melting curves for the solids under study.

 Abstract

This study evaluates the performance, resource utilization, and industry adoption of three prominent web development languages: JavaScript (Node.js), PHP, and Ruby (Ruby on Rails). Through comparative analysis, the paper examines computational speed, CPU/memory efficiency, and real-world application use cases. JavaScript, with its non-blocking, event-driven architecture, emerges as the most scalable option for real-time, high-concurrency applications. PHP excels in content-heavy websites and CMS platforms, benefiting from recent performance enhancements in PHP 7 and PHP 8. Ruby, while less performant, prioritizes developer productivity and rapid application prototyping, making it ideal for startups and e-commerce. Case studies on LinkedIn, Netflix, Facebook, Wikipedia, Shopify, and GitHub illustrate the languages' diverse strengths and industry relevance. The findings emphasize the importance of aligning language choice with project-specific needs, whether prioritizing scalability, content management, or development speed. Limitations in benchmarking and framework dependencies are acknowledged, and recommendations for future research include cross-language framework comparisons and serverless architecture performance studies.

 Abstract

The widespread presence of tiny plastic particles, specifically microplastics (100 nm-5 mm) in various ecosystems is becoming a significant environmental issue. Adding to these worries is the fact that microplastics (MNPs) possess different characteristics compared to their larger counterparts; therefore, their complete biological and ecological effects remain largely unknown. Currently, evidence suggests that these small plastic particles can release harmful plastic additives and can absorb a variety of chemicals, acting as reservoirs for various toxic substances, which increases their bioavailability, toxicity, and movement. Additionally, there is a potential risk of MNPs transferring through the food chain to humans and other higher organisms after being consumed by lower life forms. Additionally, there is a risk that microplastics (MNPs) could be transferred through the food chain to humans and other higher organisms after being consumed by lower species. Consequently, this paper provides a thorough evaluation of our present understanding of the environmental repercussions associated with MNPs. In this context, the characteristics, origins, and harmful effects of MNPs on various ecosystems, especially concerning living organisms, were explained. Likewise, the negative impacts of these particles on humans, along with ongoing and future initiatives aimed at reducing these harmful effects, were examined. Lastly, the planet's natural self-cleansing mechanisms involving a variety of decomposer organisms in relation to these synthetic particles were also emphasized.

 Abstract

ABSTRACT Background Homeopathic pharmacy, as pioneered by Samuel Hahnemann, is characterized by the meticulous preparation, preservation, and dispensing of remedies based on principles such as monopharmacy, pharmacodynamics, and potentization. Hahnemann's foundational work established a unique approach to pharmaceutical preparation and therapeutic practice. Since his era, homeopathic pharmacy has undergone significant transformations, integrating modern pharmaceutical science and technology while preserving its core principles. This study examines the evolution of homeopathic pharmacy from the post-Hahnemannian period to the present, highlighting key innovations and methodological changes. Objective To provide a comprehensive overview of the historical and modern advancements in homeopathic pharmacy, focusing on the evolution of pharmaceutical preparations, the impact of new technologies, and the incorporation of contemporary scientific methods. Methods This study employs a historical and comparative analysis of foundational texts by Hahnemann, including Materia Medica Pura and Organon of Medicine as well as other homeopathic literature like Homeopathic pharmacy text books, pharmacopeias, pharmacy journals, and contemporary research articles and manufacturing practices. This review also utilized databases such as PubMed, Google Scholar, and national search engines. Results Major transformations identified include the refinement of potentization techniques and the introduction of standardized manufacturing processes. Recent advancements in pharmaceutical practices, such as innovative dosage forms, the use of extra-neutral alcohol (ENA), and novel manufacturing techniques, were examined. Additionally, the study reviews modern approaches in pharmaceutics, pharmacognosy, and pharmaceutical analysis, alongside experimental pharmacology and drug proving. The development of contemporary homeopathic pharmacopeias and the influence of global regulatory changes have significantly impacted current practices. Conclusion The post-Hahnemannian period has witnessed substantial advancements in homeopathic pharmacy. While adhering to the core principles established by Hahnemann, the field has adapted to modern scientific and regulatory landscapes. These changes reflect a dynamic interplay between traditional homeopathic practices and contemporary pharmaceutical standards, shaping the current landscape of homeopathic therapy
