With the rising focus on how the morality of man can be molded by his nature and the environment that nurtures him, much of contemporary philosophies fixate on the influence of societal structures and doctrines on the formative development of an individual. This study aims to analyze the socialist themes in Anton Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard, putting the characters up against the ideologies that shaped their reaction to the changing social strata presented in the play.

The Malhotra Obsessive-Compulsive Scan (MOCS) represents a novel clinician-rated behavioural observation tool designed to detect subtle obsessive-compulsive (OC) traits in naturalistic clinical interactions, addressing gaps in traditional self-report measures like the Yale-Brown Obsessive-Compulsive Scale (Y-BOCS) within Indian cultural contexts. Comprising 10 observable items such as reassurance-seeking, perfectionistic hesitation, crowded writing, rigid communication, over-apologizing, and interruption intolerance MOCS yields a 0-30 score with established severity thresholds (minimal: 0-6; mild: 7-13; moderate: 14-20; prominent: 21-30). Multi-phase construction involved expert-derived item generation, content validation (CVI > 0.78), pilot testing (N=30), and planned large-scale standardization (N=150) across OCD, anxiety, and control groups, demonstrating robust reliability (Cronbach's ? > 0.70; ICC > 0.75) and validity (convergent r=0.40-0.70 with Y-BOCS; positive correlations with Narcissistic Personality Pattern Test [NPPT] and PGI Health Questionnaire N2 for comorbid rigidity). By capturing culturally normalized behaviours often overlooked due to limited insight or social reinforcement, MOCS enhances early detection, differential diagnosis, and therapeutic monitoring in high-functioning Indian populations, bridging observational and self-report paradigms.

The present work explores the potential of Heliotropium indicum leaves as a natural ingredient for formulating a topical ointment. The plant is widely recognized in traditional medicine for its soothing and skin-protective properties. To harness these benefits, the leaves were subjected to ethanolic extraction, and the resulting extract was incorporated into a semi-solid ointment base using the fusion method. The extract was first screened for major phytochemical groups, revealing the presence of bioactive constituents such as flavonoids, phenolics, tannins, alkaloids, and saponins, all of which are associated with skin repair and antioxidant functions. The prepared ointment was then examined through simple pharmaceutical evaluation tests that focused on its physical features and user-friendly characteristics. These assessments helped confirm that the incorporation of the plant extract produced a stable and uniform formulation with suitable texture and spreadability. This study highlights the feasibility of developing an herbal ointment from H. indicum using basic extraction and formulation techniques. By demonstrating good physical properties and identifying key phytochemicals in the extract, the work supports the continued investigation of this plant as a candidate for herbal skincare and wound-care applications.

The Malhotra Obsessive Compulsive Scan (MOCS) is a newly developed clinician-rated behavioural observation tool created to identify subtle obsessive-compulsive traits as they naturally unfold within therapeutic, clinical, and counselling settings. Unlike conventional self-report inventories which rely heavily on an individual's insight, self-awareness, and willingness to disclose symptoms MOCS focuses on observable behavioural markers that frequently remain unnoticed or unreported. These include reassurance-seeking, perfectionistic hesitation, excessively crowded or margin-less writing, rigid communication patterns, over-apologizing, and difficulty being interrupted. Such behaviours, while strongly associated with obsessive-compulsive tendencies, are often minimized, masked, or culturally normalized in the Indian context where politeness, discipline, and meticulousness may be perceived as positive traits rather than indicators of underlying anxiety or compulsive functioning. By capturing these subtle patterns through structured clinician observation, MOCS aims to bridge a critical gap in OCD assessment, particularly for high-functioning individuals, adolescents, and clients whose symptoms manifest more behaviourally than cognitively. The tool offers an ecologically valid and culturally sensitive method for early detection, differential diagnosis, and monitoring of obsessive-compulsive traits. Moreover, MOCS provides clinicians with actionable insights to tailor therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), mindfulness-based approaches, and Subconscious Energy Healing Therapy (SEHT). Designed with the Indian psychosocial landscape in mind, MOCS holds promise for improving diagnostic accuracy, reducing under-identification of obsessive-compulsive tendencies, and supporting standardised assessment practices. Ongoing standardisation efforts aim to validate its psychometric robustness and enhance its applicability across diverse Indian populations.

The Third Man Argument (TMA) is one of the most significant and most persistent criticisms of Plato's Theory of Forms. While the argument was briefly introduced in Parmenides, it became more influential through Aristotle's discussion in the Metaphysics. The argument is so important essentially because it challenges the basic structure of the Theory of Forms by showing that the principles meant to explain similarity end up creating an endless chain of Forms. For this reason, the TMA has continued to be a central concern for people who study Plato's metaphysics. This paper uses straightforward textual and philosophical analysis. I lay out the steps of the argument in a straightforward manner, without heavy technical jargon, and show you the assumptions - e.g., self-predication, one-over-many principle - that make the regress unavoidable. I also examine how various thinkers, including Aristotle, medieval philosophers, and modern scholars, have understood or attempted to address the argument. The paper asserts that the Third Man Argument remains a useful and effective method for assessing metaphysical theories. The present and future work may consider how ideas in current terms, such as conceptualism, trope theory, or modified forms of realism, attempt to avoid the regress that Plato's original principles could not escape.

Ravindra Kaushik--renowned in intelligence circles by his codename Black Tiger--remains one of India's most exceptional deep-cover operatives. Working undercover in Pakistan between 1975-1983, Kaushik penetrated the Pakistan Army and delivered critical intelligence on troop deployments, political shifts, and nuclear developments. Despite his immense contributions to India's national security, he died anonymously in Pakistan's Mianwali Jail in 2001 after years of torture and neglect. This research paper explores Kaushik's socio-cultural roots, recruitment into RAW (Research and Analysis Wing), deep-cover operations, achievements, betrayal through an intelligence failure, imprisonment, and tragic death. It also investigates the ethical, institutional, and psychological ramifications of espionage, arguing that Kaushik's story highlights the invisible sacrifices made by undercover agents and the urgent need to reform policies regarding their protection and recognition. Using journalistic accounts, memoirs of intelligence officers, interviews, secondary sources, and declassified intelligence references, this paper humanizes Kaushik and evaluates his enduring legacy in South Asian intelligence history.

This study examines the role of workplace infrastructure and environmental conditions as predictors of Quality of Work Life (OWL) among 320 employees across large, medium, and small-scale manufacturing units in Mandideep Industrial Area, India. Using a structured OWL questionnaire, data were collected on satisfaction with work conditions, safety perception, facility ratings, work stress, work-life balance, and other dimensions. Descriptive statistics, ANOVA, correlation, and multiple regression analyses were performed. Results reveal significantly lower satisfaction with physical infrastructure (lighting, restrooms, canteen, transport) and environmental conditions (ventilation, cleanliness) in medium- and small-scale units compared to large-scale firms (p < .001). Facility rating and perceived safety emerged as the strongest predictors of overall OWL (? = .412 and ? = .356, p < .001). High work stress and poor work-life balance were strongly associated with inadequate infrastructure. The findings highlight that poor workplace infrastructure disproportionately affects OWL in SMEs and suggest policy interventions for mandatory infrastructure up gradation to meet ILO decent work standards.

In South Indian Classical Music or the Karn??ak Music, rendering of certain compositions in Madhyama ?ruti is prevalent and there are references to this concept in the books that came during the later part of the 20th century. This concept is supposed to have come during the 20th century as this concept has not been mentioned in the treatises written before 19th century. Moreover, this concept is quite popular in the present day and this paper traces the evolution of this concept and its application in Vocal and other instrumental practices. The methodology adopted in this paper include historical study, analytical research and the application of the concept in the present day scenario. The examples have been drawn from textual and oral traditions and the observations have been given.
