 Abstract

Background: Type II Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) remains a significant public health issue, especially in rural regions where awareness of preventive measures is often inadequate. Socio-demographic factors play a crucial role in determining individuals' knowledge and their capacity to implement preventive strategies. This study investigates the relationship between socio-demographic variables and knowledge about T2DM prevention, assessing changes before and after an IEC-based educational intervention. Methods: A quantitative cross-sectional study employing a pre-test-post-test design was carried out among 400 rural participants in Kathua, J&K. Participants' knowledge of T2DM prevention was evaluated using a structured questionnaire. The relationship between socio-demographic factors and knowledge levels was examined through chi-square analysis. Results: Chi-square analysis revealed significant associations between socio-demographic factors (age, gender, education, marital status, occupation, family income, social habits, and type of family) and knowledge levels regarding T2DM prevention, both in the pre-test and post-test phases (p < 0.05). These associations highlight how different socio-demographic variables influence participants' knowledge about T2DM prevention. Conclusion: Socio-demographic factors are significantly associated with knowledge levels regarding T2DM prevention. The IEC intervention effectively modified these associations, highlighting the need for targeted education strategies in rural public health programs.

However, they also introduce vulnerabilities, such as weak passwords, outdated software, and lack of encryption, expanding the attack surface and potential damage. The vast number of connected devices and data generation necessitate robust security measures to prevent unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber-physical attacks. Addressing challenges like interoperability, scalability, and regulatory compliance is essential to ensure the secure deployment of IoT devices. Implementing robust security protocols, conducting regular updates and patching, and ensuring secure data management are vital to harnessing the potential of IoT in cybersecurity. A comprehensive approach, involving device manufacturers, policymakers, and users, is necessary to strengthen the role of IoT in cybersecurity and mitigate emerging threats. By acknowledging the challenges and opportunities, we can unlock the full potential of IoT to enhance cybersecurity posture.

 Abstract

The dichotomy between 'masculinity' and 'femininity' has always been a topic of debate in every society. An alleged claim prevailing in the feminist circle is that these very ideas of 'masculinity' and 'femininity' prevent women from entering their desired domains as 'masculinity' is always associated with rationality and intelligence and 'femininity' with irrationality and emotions. Such claims have given birth to numerous branches of feminism which attempt to deconstruct the societal and cultural factors behind the ideas of 'masculinity' and 'femininity'. In the process, condemnation of the males for cherishing masochistic ideals is a common practice among the feminist critics. The feminist critics aspire to safeguard the identity of the women from the clutches of male ego and superiority in the patriarchal society. But with the advent of new thinking, a section of men and women tend to view the idea of 'masculinity' in a different light. According to them, in a patriarchal society where men and women are prone to be judged by the socially and culturally constructed definitions, the women are not the sole victims but the men also suffer. In such a society, the men are robbed of their natural emotional instincts which ultimately lead to their suffocation. Since the men are always taught to suppress their emotional sides, it creates a lacuna in the psyche of some males. The men feel trapped. They secretly carry the burden of loneliness and anxiety wearing a mask of indifference. They are forever haunted by the societal and familial pressures of being a perfect and responsible man. The present paper attempts to analyze the poems, speeches and other performances both by males and females on digital platform which frankly addresses such issues. The paper brings to forefront the biases embedded in the very idea of masculinity.

Users can input vehicle specifications through a web-based interface, powered by Streamlit, and receive instant consumption predictions. The current-voltage characteristics of inhomogeneous Schottky diodes can be generated either using analytically solved equation for total current through all the elementary diodes integration over the entire barrier height range. The simulation approaches yields current-voltage characteristics with different features. . In this work approaches of modeling of inhomogeneous Schottky contacts are analyzed and compared. For this the nature of each elementary diode representing Gaussian distribution of barrier heights in inhomogeneous Schottky contact is investigated to make approache yield similar current-voltage characteristics.

 Abstract

 Abstract

Abstract: Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is emerging as an important cause of liver disease in India. Epidemiological studies suggest prevalence of NAFLD in around 9-32% of general population in India with higher prevalence in those with overweight or obesity and those with diabetes or prediabetes which can be correlated with Medodushti. Over the past couple of decades , it has become increasingly clear that Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver disease (NAFLD) and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) are the significant causes of liver disease.In Ayurveda, NAFLD may be understood as Medodushti. A vast spectrum of diseases comes under comes under Medodushti ranging from Obesity, Hyperlipidaemia, Diabetes Mellitus. According to Charakacharya, Avyama (no exercise), Divaswapna (sleep at day / excessive sleep), Snigdha, Guru , Shita Medya (food which increases lipids), Atimadya sevan (excessive alcohol consumption) leads to Dhatwagnimandya specially Medodhatwagnimandya which may lead to Medodushti. Vitiation of Medovaha strotas takes place in Medodushti or Medorog. The formation of Medodhatu from Mansa dhatu when acted upon by Meda Dhatwagni on Medopachak Amansha. If any disturbance found in these above pathways during formation of Medodhatu, it may lead to Medodushti i.e. either Vruddhi or Kshya (increase or decrease) of the Medodhatu. NAFLD is a metabolic disorder of hepatic origin. Thus, the treatment of NAFLD should be directed toward normalization of liver functions as well as to the reduction of Insulin resistance. Study Design is randomized controlled clinical study, Study Type is Interventional study Sample size is 134 Subjects (67 in each group) Sample selection techniques: Selections of subjects will be done by computer generated randomization list. Subjects in the age group of 30-65 years of irrespective sex having cardinal features of Medodushti pain in the Right upper quadrant/ epigastric region of the abdomen, feeling of nausea and vomiting, loss of appetite, burning sensation in the abdomen and clinical sign and symptoms suggesting NAFLD . o Criteria for Selection of Subjects: Subjects with signs and symptoms suggesting NAFLD will be selected from OPD Deptartment of Kayachikitsa (MAM's Sumatibhai Shah Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Pune & PDEA's College of Ayurved & Research centre, Nigdi Pune). Approval of the study will be taken after presentation from institute's ethics committee. The cases will be enrolled after describing the treatment and obtaining informed consent in English and local language. Subjects eligible for inclusion criterion who will be selected for clinical trial, drugs are Standardized and well authenticated & will be procured from market. Interventional trial will be measured and by proper statistical analysis the observations of parameters are assessed.

We can generate current-voltage characteristics of inhomogeneous schottky diodes. This can be done by using analytical solved equation for total current through all the elementary diodes. We can do this work by numerical integration over the entire barrier height range. These current-voltage characteristics with different features can be achieved by simulation method. It shows apparently that the achievement of analysis of inhomogeneous Schottky contacts is not consistent. In this work, we analyze the achievement of modeling of inhomogeneous Schottky contacts. In order to do so, the nature of each elementary diode Schottky contact is investigated to make the approach for current-voltage characteristics.
