 Abstract

Renewable energy (RE) sources, particularly wind and solar are gaining more popularity due to their inherent benefits. Consequently, nations have set ambitious goals to enhance the penetration of RE into their energy-requirements. However, the Renewable Energy sources especially wind and photovoltaic sources are intermittent, uncertain, and unpredictable. Therefore, there is a need to optimize their usage when they are available. Moreover, energy storage system like battery energy storage has much potential to support the RE integration with the power grid. This study, therefore, investigates the sizes of battery energy storage required to support a grid- connected micro-grid and a stand-alone micro-grid for 12 months considering hourly wind power potential. In this study, we have considered three Scenarios of operations and have determined the BESS sizes and recommend the best based on the cost of operation. Scenarios 1 and 2 are grid-connected configuration while Scenario 3 is a standalone micro-grid supported with diesel generators. In each Scenario, the optimization problem is formulated based on the optimal operation cost of the micro-grids. The study evaluates and analyses the operational environmental effects and costs between the three Scenarios. The formulated problems are solved using the nonlinear optimization method.

 Abstract

The current investigation aimed to access the ichthyofaunal diversity of Nona (Mutunga) river flowing through Baksa & Nalbari district of Assam, India. Survey was conducted from Nov 2022 to Oct.2023. Fish specimens were collected from four pre-selected sites,using standard methods and subsequently preserved and identified .A total of 41 fish species belonging to 7 orders, 18 families and 30 genera were recorded. Cypriniformes was the dominant order with 15 species followed by Perciformes with 12 species. Three vulnerable, two near threatened and 36 species under the least concern category were identified based on IUCN status. Anthropogenic threats such as setting up brick industries, garbage dispersal, flow of agricultural pesticide to the river and river digging, etc. may affect the fish population in this river.Awareness among inhabitants of surrounding villages is needed to address these threats.

Challenges persist, such as gender bias and discrimination but women continue to break barriers and shape the future of technology. This paper emphasizes the importance of gender equality in the technology and offers recommendations for more inclusive and innovative future.

 Abstract

The study aimed to explore the impact of yogic practices with props on specific psychological variables among Paralympic sitting volleyball players. A total of 30 male participants, aged 20 to 40, were randomly assigned to two groups: experimental group I, which underwent yogic practices with props, and experimental group II, designated as the control group. The investigation utilized standardized tests, including Anxiety control, Goal setting, and Mental Rehearsal. Anxiety control was evaluated using a standardized questionnaire (Questioner Test Item A) from the Psychological Skills Inventory for Sport by Kerry-Ann Wheaton. Similarly, Goal setting and Mental Rehearsal were assessed using the same questionnaire (Questioner Test Item A) from the Psychological Skills Inventory for Sport by Kerry-Ann Wheaton, with the latter being scored. Statistical analysis through the Dependent 't' test revealed a significant improvement in Anxiety control, Goal setting, and Mental Rehearsal among Paralympic sitting volleyball players who underwent yogic practices with props. These findings suggest the positive impact of incorporating such practices in enhancing key psychological aspects relevant to the athletic performance of Paralympic sitting volleyball players.

 Abstract

This paper critically evaluates multinational companies, exploring their advantages and disadvantages for host countries and examining the different types of structures and strategies they employ. The focus of this analysis is on the varying structures and strategies employed by multinational companies when operating internationally. Instead of a chronological approach, a thematic approach is utilized to allow for a detailed examination of specific topics or themes without strict adherence to the order in which research was conducted. The paper begins by defining a multinational company, discussing its strengths and weaknesses, analyzing the components of its strategies and structures, and comparing the pros and cons of these different approaches. The latter part of the paper delves into the connection between these strategies and international human resource management, emphasizing how different company strategies and structures impact international HRM. Ultimately, the paper concludes that the role of IHRM differs based on organizational structures, leading to varying implications for international HRM.

 Abstract

India leads the world with largest number of diabetic subjects earning the dubious distinction of being termed the "diabetes capital of the world". Allopathic medicinal science is always changing and adaptable to newly derived conditions. With the help of several mechanisms these OHA"s act by lowering blood sugar levels but, the cause remains untreated. Also, sometimes it is observed that though person is taking several oral hypoglycaemic drugs but still their BSL levels are not in good control. Panchatiktaghrut guggul has been Ref. by Bhaishajya Ratnavali (54/233-238) and it is indicated in treatment of Madhumeha. (Falasruti). Here, in this study, we compared Panchatiktaghrut Guggul as an add on therapy with oral hypoglycaemic agents and results were encouraging in many aspects of clinical and biological parameter.

 Abstract

There is an increasing emphasis on incorporating science education into early childhood development classrooms globally. This has prompted many countries to formulate and enforce policies that promote the teaching of science process skills. The attitudes and beliefs of teachers play a vital role in integrating new changes into the classroom effectively. The present research paper aims to investigate the practices and perceptions of Anganwadi teachers on teaching science during early childhood period. The study involved a total of 60 Anganwadi teachers (30 in the experimental group and 30 in the control group) from both urban and rural areas of Telangana State, India. Data was collected through an interview schedule, with Anganwadi teachers serving as the primary respondents. "A questionnaire to assess preschool teachers' practices, perceptions and knowledge on Science" was used to study the knowledge and practices of Anganwadi teachers. Pre and post test was conducted for both experimental and control groups and the data was subsequently analysed. The majority of Anganwadi teachers mentioned that science activities are included in their curriculum, yet they reported not being provided with any teaching resources for science. A significant difference was observed between the post-test scores of the experimental and control groups, with the experimental group showing higher scores at a 0.05 level. Participants in the experimental group demonstrated increased interest and confidence in teaching science compared to those in the control group. It was also found that the post-test scores of the experimental group are higher than the pre-test scores, while both pre and post-test scores of the control group are nearly the same on the perceptions about teaching science to young children.

To address this, we've crafted an Android messenger that balances core messaging functionalities with a splash of personal flair. Users aren't just limited to sending and receiving messages; they're empowered to shape their app experience, from profile tweaks to chat window aesthetics, making each interaction genuinely personal. Leveraging the robustness of React Native CLI and the versatility of Firebase, we've created a responsive and secure platform, including sliders to change the look and feel of the chat environment and image pickers to help users customize it. Upon rollout, the app not only performed seamlessly but also resonated with users. Feedback highlighted the unique blend of efficient communication and the freedom to personalize, offering a refreshing twist to conventional messaging. As we look ahead, the possibilities are exciting--be it introducing multimedia sharing or voice chats, the goal remains: make communication personal, always.

 Abstract

Livelihood generation is one of the major potentials of sericulture and silk industry. Sericulture has emerged as the most important cash crop with minimum investment, low gestation period, high employment potential and highly remunerative return. It is suitable for Tribal. Sericulture has provided downstream employment and income generation in rural and semi-urban areas, high participation for low-income and socially under privileged groups. 'This study investigate that how sericulture fulfill the opportunities of livelihood for tribal of Sundargarh district . The study finds that sericulture is the activity of low investment and high output. The study concludes with some suggestion to improve the long term feasibility of sericulture.
