Nanoparticles have been revolutionary in modern biology for many reasons. Different kinds of nanoparticles are catered for different uses, one of them being magnetic in nature. Out of many methods of synthesis of Magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs), microbial synthesis is safer and cost-effective. Microorganisms, showing a great deal of biodiversity, provide a range of options to manufacture MNPs. Moreover, MNPs could be produced by microbes in vast quantities and at a low cost. Additionally, biological methods for producing MNPs are eco-friendly and present chances for industrialization. Ferrite nanoparticles of size 128 nm are the most explored MNPs so far. They can be successfully implemented in wastewater treatment, cancer diagnosis and hyperthermia treatment. This review discusses the methods to prepare nanoparticles of iron nature and test its magnetic, antibacterial and antioxidant activities. Bacillus subtilis strains were isolated from soil by serial dilution technique then cultured in a specific nutrient medium to allow growth of magnetic bacterial strains. Once magnetic bacterial strains are confirmed, they are centrifuged, diluted and finally tested by a magnet to analyze the attraction of synthesized MNPs. Furthermore, the synthesized MNPs are examined for antimicrobial activities against selective bacteria and also antioxidant activities.

Hibiscus rosa-sinensis is an edible flower "The edible flower is defined as innocuous and non-toxic flowers with many health benefits included in human diet" (Lu, et al. 2016). The flowers of this plant are employed to develop a famous beverage in Egypt and are also used to formulate medicines. Different parts of the plant are also added in the development of jams, spices, soups and sauces. In foods and beverages, hibiscus rosa-sinensis is mostly used as a flavouring agent. It is additionally used to enhance the odour and appearance in multiple recipes. In this study ,the product named idli was developed by using fresh hibiscus flowers was subjected to sensory analysis. The panel members evaluated the samples for different sensory attributes. Nutritional composition of Fresh hibiscus flower based Idli also has been donefordifferent parameters. The result showed that type II idli based on hibiscus flower had highest value of moisture, fibre and ash (4.14, 1.02 and 2.87 %, respectively), whereas, protein (10.75 %) and fat (3.57%) were higher in control idli. ?- Carotene and vitamin C content was highest in type II hibiscus flower based idli. Iron ( 1.37 mg), zinc (0.11mg) and manganese (0.11mg) content were found maximum in type II idli based on hibiscus flower, while, control idli had maximum content of calcium (133.05 mg) In Akwa Ibom State of Nigeria the young leaves of hibiscus are commonly consumed as vegetable and add into functional foods (Udo, et al. 2016). Hibiscus flowers are highly used after harvesting and one such use is the extract of pigment from flowers. Fresh flowers are used as food coloring and as a component of vegetable salads.

Objective: The current study investigated that defensive effect of ethanolic extract of Rosmarinus officinalisleaves and Vigna radiata seeds on learning and memory functions in scopolamine induced memory deficits rats including the effects on various body organs. Methods: In scopolamine (SCO) induced cognitive deficit rat model Wistar albino rats weighing 150-200 g were divided into 7 groups (6 animals per group). After 30 days of treatment animals were at once scarified, the estimation of markers of oxidative stress in the brain was measured. The protective and cognitive enhancing effects of ROE&Vigna seed Extract (VRE) on cognitive shortfall rats induced by scopolamine were investigated by assessing the elevated plus maze, the passive avoidance test and the Morris water maze test. In order to prove the underlying mechanisms of memory enhancing effects of ROE and Vigna seed Extract (VRE), activities of AChE, oxidative stress markers such as GSH and MDA were measured. Results: ROE and VRE at a dose 200 mg/kg may be useful for the cognitive improvement via regulation of cholinergic marker enzyme activities and the antioxidant defense system in SCO induced cognitive deficit rats. ROE and VRE at a dose 200 mg/kg may be protective for the brain via antioxidant defense system in rats. In acute toxicity study oral dose of 2000 mg/kg of the ethanolic extract did not produce mortality or changes in the general behavior and gross appearance of internal organs of mice and rats. In sub acute toxicity study, ethanolic extract and methanolic extract was evaluated at 100, 200 or 1000 mg/kg/day, orally for 30 days in rats. Conclusion: These conclusions suggest the possible neuroprotective role for Rosmarinus officinalisand Vigna radiata, therefore it seems that Rosmarinus officinalis may show to be an anti Alzheimer mediator in view of its memory enhancing property observed in the present study.
