Abstract: George Orwell's 1984 presents a dystopian vision of a totalitarian state where surveillance, propaganda, and control dominate every aspect of life. This research paper compares Orwell's depiction of surveillance with contemporary realities, exploring how governments, corporations, and technology influence privacy and personal freedom in the digital age. By analyzing Orwell's concepts of Big Brother, telescreens, Thought Police, and Newspeak, this paper highlights parallels with modern-day CCTV surveillance, mass data collection, social media monitoring, and AI-driven facial recognition. The study argues that while Orwell's world was fictional, his warnings about privacy erosion remain more relevant than ever. This paper delves into the striking similarities and differences between George Orwell's dystopian vision in "1984" and the realities of contemporary surveillance technologies. It explores the implications of these technologies on privacy, individual freedom, and societal control, providing a critical analysis of their ethical and social dimensions. Agricultural productivity is often threatened by plant diseases, which, if undetected, can lead to severe yield losses. This paper presents an IoT-based Plant Leaf Disease Identification System, specifically designed to detect diseases in banana, potato, and tomato crops. The system integrates hardware-based detection for banana leaves using a TCS34725 color sensor, which identifies Black Sigatoka, Yellow Sigatoka, and Streak Virus based on color variations. Additionally, a machine learning model, utilizing a DenseNet CNN network, is employed to classify diseases in potato and tomato leaves with an accuracy of 88-90 percent. The system leverages an Arduino Uno, ESP8266 for data transmission, and an LED display for on-device alerts. The Blynk platform is used for real-time monitoring, allowing farmers to receive early disease alerts and take preventive measures. By enabling timely intervention, this solution aims to enhance crop health, yield, and economic stability in the agricultural sector. The results demonstrate a highly effective and accessible approach to plant disease detection, making it a valuable tool for modern precision farming.

Foundational literacy skills, including reading, writing, and numeracy, are crucial for children's education and empowerment. The development of these skills is typically formal and is frequently acquired during the initial years of school education. The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 places significant emphasis on attaining literacy among children at the very foundational stage itself. The National Initiative for Proficiency in Reading with Understanding and Numeracy (NIPUN), Bharat (2021) provides grade-wise skills for students' mastery and aims at achieving basic foundational literacy skills by the end of grade 3. As four years are passed by, it is essential to reflect and bring out research based evidence as to whether the children, irrespective of their differences, are achieving the grade wise literacy skills as emphasised in NIPUN Bharat. The present researchers selected 'reading with understanding' from NIPUN Bharat guidelines as a representative foundational literacy skill for the study. The research design followed was of descriptive survey. The methodology chosen was to select two groups, namely 30 children with hearing impairment (Group - A) and 30 children without hearing impairment (Group - B) and to study the grade -I achievement level in 'reading with understanding' as per Nipun Bharat guidelines. The study further explored whether there exists a significant difference in achievement between the groups. The required data was collected through a test developed by the researchers and validated by the field experts. Descriptive statistics and 't' test were administered, and the result of the study revealed no significant difference between the achievement of the groups in reading with understanding as per Nipun Bharat guidelines. However, the levels of achievement were not the same amongst the groups.

The many facets of liposomal formulation, such as its properties, mechanism of synthesis, and utilisation for a range of therapeutic objectives, are the main emphasis of this study. Because of its biocompatible and biodegradable properties, which make it a non-toxic carrier and a good choice for drug carriers in the treatment of disease, liposomes are the drug carrier that researchers are most interested in studying. Its bilayer vesicles of phospholipids facilitate the encapsulation of both hydrophilic and hydrophobic medications. Many advancements have been made in the creation of a liposomal formulation for the application of drug carriers in disease treatment, primarily in the areas of immunomodulation, topical therapy, gene transfer, and cancer therapy. The word "liposome" is a combination of the Greek words "lipos," which means fat, and "soma," which means body. Liposomes are spherically shaped vesicles made up of cholesterol and phospholipids that are being extensively studied as medication carriers to increase the delivery and bioavailability of medicinal medicines. Many liposome-based drug delivery systems are presently undergoing clinical trials as a result of creative advancements in liposome technology, and some of them have recently received approval for clinical usage. Their hydrophobic and lipophilic properties, along with their size, make them promising drug delivery methods.

Pottery, one of the oldest forms of human craftsmanship, plays a crucial role in the economic sustenance and cultural identity of rural communities worldwide. This study explores the potential of traditional pottery in enhancing rural livelihoods by integrating modern innovations to address contemporary challenges. Through an analysis of case studies and literature, the socio-economic contributions of pottery, such as income generation, cultural preservation, and community cohesion, are examined. The study also investigates the impact of technology, skill development, and policy support on rural artisans. Challenges limiting market access, increasing raw material costs, and discouraging younger generations from pursuing the craft are identified, along with potential solutions, including e-commerce platforms and eco-friendly innovations. The findings emphasize the importance of striking a balance between tradition and innovation to ensure the sustainability of pottery as a livelihood strategy. By promoting a sense of pride and ownership among rural artisans, policymakers and stakeholders can foster economic development, cultural values, and the sustainability of innovative ideas in the pottery industry. This study provides actionable insights for policymakers and NGOs to advance the craft and ensure its relevance in the modern world, ultimately contributing to the broader discourse on the role of traditional crafts in sustainable rural development.

Neck pain has become increasingly common in today's fast-paced technological era, where individuals often neglect proper regimens, leading to conditions like Manyasthamba. Ayurveda, India's ancient system of medicine, provides holistic approaches to managing such ailments. Manyasthamba can be correlated with Cervical Spondylosis in modern medicine, as both exhibit similar signs and symptoms, including intervertebral disc degeneration, cervical spine deterioration, and bony overgrowth. The condition manifests as pain, muscle weakness, muscle wasting, and impaired reflexes. Swedana, a therapeutic sudation process, is indicated for Manyasthamba, particularly for Vataja and Kaphaja disorders. Among its various techniques, Valuka Sweda (sand therapy) is an effective Rooksha Sweda method, while Patra Pottali Swedana (herbal poultice therapy) is also widely recognized for its benefits in treating Manyasthamba. This study aimed to assess and compare the efficacy of these two Swedana therapies in the management of Manyasthamba with reference to Cervical Spondylosis. A simple randomized comparative clinical study was conducted on 40 patients diagnosed with Manyasthamba, divided into two groups of 20 each. Group A received Valuka Sweda, while Group B underwent Patra Pinda Sweda for seven days. Assessment parameters included pain (Ruk), stiffness (Stambha), swelling (Shotha), and various neck movements such as flexion, extension, rotation, lateral flexion, and passive neck flexion. Statistical analysis revealed no significant difference between the two groups (P > 0.05). However, the average percentage of improvement in Group B (50.90%) was higher than in Group A (43.59%), suggesting that Patra Pinda Sweda was more effective than Valuka Sweda in managing Manyasthamba.
