Pama Kushta (scabies) is a highly contagious dermatological condition caused by Sarcoptes scabiei. Despite the availability of modern treatments providing symptomatic relief, challenges like recurrence and side effects persist, necessitating alternative approaches. This study evaluates the comparative efficacy of two Ayurvedic formulations, Durvaadi Taila and Tuvaraka Taila, in managing Pama Kushta through external application. A clinical trial was conducted with 40 participants, divided into two groups (Group A and Group B), treated with Durvaadi Taila and Tuvaraka Taila, respectively. Outcomes were assessed based on key symptoms, including Kandu (itching), Toda (pain), Daha (burning sensation), Pidaka (eruptions), and Srava (discharge). Statistical analysis revealed significant improvements in both groups across all parameters, with Group A demonstrating slightly higher average improvement (48.22%) compared to Group B (45.15%). The study concludes that while both treatments are effective and safe, Durvaadi Taila exhibited marginally superior efficacy. These findings highlight the potential of Ayurvedic interventions as viable alternatives for managing scabies, particularly in cases resistant to conventional therapies.

This study explores the influence of customer online reviews on consumer purchasing behavior in the context of e-commerce. With the increasing reliance on digital platforms for shopping, online reviews have become a critical source of information that shapes consumer decision-making processes. The primary aim of this research is to analyze how online reviews--through their content, credibility, and sentiment--impact consumer perceptions and their subsequent purchasing decisions. Through a mixed-method approach, both qualitative and quantitative data were gathered, including the analysis of reviews on popular e-commerce websites, consumer surveys, and interviews. Key factors such as review ratings, text sentiment (positive or negative), reviewer credibility, and the volume of reviews were examined to assess their effect on trust, product evaluation, and purchase intent. The findings suggest that online reviews play a significant role in shaping consumer attitudes, with positive reviews fostering trust and increasing the likelihood of purchase, while negative reviews often deter buyers. Furthermore, the study identifies how factors such as review consistency, star ratings, and the perceived authenticity of the reviews influence consumer decisions. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the psychological and behavioral dynamics of online shoppers and provides valuable insights for businesses seeking to enhance their digital marketing strategies by leveraging customer feedback to build trust and drive sales.

Background: Manyasthamba, commonly associated with cervical spondylosis in contemporary medicine, is a prevalent condition characterized by neck pain (Ruk) and stiffness (Stambha). It is understood in Ayurveda as a Vataja Nanatmaja Vyadhi caused by Vata and Kapha dosha imbalance. This study explores the combined efficacy of Mashabaladi Kwatha and Rasnashunthyadi Kwatha with Gudardraka Nasya in managing Manyasthamba. Objectives: To compare the effectiveness of Mashabaladi Kwatha with Gudardraka Nasya (Group A) and Rasnashunthyadi Kwatha with Gudardraka Nasya (Group B) in alleviating the symptoms of Manyasthamba. Methods: A total of 40 patients aged 30-70 years, diagnosed with Manyasthamba, were selected from the outpatient and inpatient departments of R.G.E.S.A.M.C & Hospital, Ron. The study employed a simple comparative prospective design with purposive sampling. Patients were randomly divided into two groups of 20 each. Group A received Mashabaladi Kwatha (25 ml twice daily before meals) and Gudardraka Nasya (6 bindu) for 8 days, while Group B received Rasnashunthyadi Kwatha and Gudardraka Nasya in similar dosages and duration. Both groups were observed over 24 days, including a 16-day follow-up period. Baseline and post-treatment assessments were conducted using subjective (Ruk and Stambha) and objective parameters (cervical joint mobility and muscle strength). Results were statistically analyzed using paired and unpaired t-tests. Results: In Group A, the mean reduction in Ruk was 33%, and Stambha was reduced by 59%, both statistically significant (p<0.05). Group B showed superior outcomes with a 53% reduction in Ruk and 74% in Stambha. Cervical joint mobility improved significantly in both groups, with flexion improving by 46% in Group A and 54% in Group B. Muscle strength exhibited a 56% improvement in Group A and 48% in Group B. Comparative analysis revealed Group B to be more effective overall, achieving 61.65% improvement compared to 47.45% in Group A. Conclusion: The study demonstrates that combining Rasnashunthyadi Kwatha with Gudardraka Nasya is more effective than Mashabaladi Kwatha in managing Manyasthamba. These findings emphasize the potential of integrating Ayurvedic interventions for cervical spondylosis-like conditions, offering a promising approach for alleviating symptoms and enhancing quality of life.

Darunaka is explained under Kshudra rogas by Acharya Sushrutha and Kapalagata rogas by Acharya Vagbhata. It is manifested due to vitiation of Kapha and Vata,Pitta and Rakta and leading to lakshanas such as: Kandu(itching), Keshachyuti(hair fall), Swaapa(loss of sensation), Rookshata(dryness),and Twak sphutana(cracking). In modern medicine the treatment is available for this condition but that is so expensive which gives path for more efficacious management through Ayurveda. Ayurveda classics majorly emphasizes the bahya lepa upachara as a line of treatment in Darnunaka. However many remedies are described for Darunaka.Khakhasa beeja lepa is one of them..Khakhasa beeja lepa is easy for external application and easily available in the market..Hence, in the present study comparative clinical study for assessment of the effect of Khakhasa beeja lepa and Priyala beejadi lepa in the management of Darunaka was planned. 40 patients suffering from Darunaka were selected and divided into 2 groups, 20 patients in each group. In Group A- 20 patients were applied with Khakhasa beeja lepa for 30 days and in Group B-20 patients were applied with Priyala beejadi lepa for 30 days. Kandu, Keshachyuti, Swapa, Keshabhoomi sphutana, Rukshatha, were the assessment parameters. Group A (treated with Khakhasa beeja lepa) demonstrated a significant effect on all parameters of Darunaka. Group B (treated with Priyala beejadi lepa) also showed a significant effect on all parameters of Darunaka. The average percentage improvement in Group B was 51.04%, which is greater than the 43.40% improvement observed in Group A. The treatment with Priyala beejadi lepa (Group B) is more effective than Khakhasa beeja lepa (Group A) for managing Darunaka.
