This study compares three major education boards in India: Central Board of Secondary Education, Punjab School Education Board, and Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education. The comparison is based on factors such as curriculum, difficulty level, evaluation system, and student performance. The findings show that CBSE focuses more on conceptual learning and is well-suited for national-level competitive examinations. In contrast, the Punjab Board offers a relatively easier syllabus and higher scoring opportunities, making it suitable for students seeking less academic pressure. The Himachal Board provides a balanced approach with moderate difficulty and steady evaluation standards. Overall, each board has its own strengths, and the choice depends on the student's academic goals and learning preferences

Anxiety disorders are a major global health issue and continue to create a need for safer and more effective treatment options. In recent years, medicinal plants with possible neuropharmacological effects have gained growing attention as alternative therapeutic agents. Gmelina arborea, an important component of Brihat Pancha Moola, has long been used in traditional systems of medicine and is now being explored for its wider medicinal value. The plant is rich in phytochemicals such as lignans, flavonoids, tannins, glycosides, and other bioactive compounds, which contribute to its therapeutic potential. Among its many reported pharmacological properties, its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities are especially significant. Recent preclinical studies, particularly those using animal models such as the Elevated Plus Maze (EPM) and Light-Dark Box (LDB), indicate that extracts of Gmelina arborea may help reduce anxiety-related behaviour. These effects are believed to be associated with the modulation of neurotransmitter systems, especially the GABAergic pathway, which plays a key role in anxiety regulation. In addition, the antioxidant nature of the plant may provide neuroprotective benefits. Although the preclinical findings are encouraging, clinical evidence in humans is still limited. Therefore, further studies are needed to clarify its mechanism of action, ensure proper standardisation, and establish its safety and efficacy through clinical validation. Overall, Gmelina arborea shows promising potential as a natural anxiolytic agent, but more research is required before it can be confidently applied in modern medicine.

The objective of this study was to examine the effects of strength based training on bio motor components and psychological variable of male kabaddi players. To achieve the purpose of the study, thirty kabaddi players (N = 30) were selected from the Department of Physical Education, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. The age of the selected kabaddi players ranged between 21 and 25 years. The selected subjects were divided into two groups: Group I, designated as the Strength Based Training Group (SBTG), and Group II, designated as the Control Group (CG). Each group consisted of fifteen kabaddi players (n = 15). Prior to the intervention, a pre-test was administered to record the baseline values of the selected variables. The bio-motor components selected were Muscular Strength and Muscular Endurance, and the selected psychological variable was Depression. Following the pre-test, the Strength Based Training Group (SBTG) underwent a structured strength-based training programme for a period of eight weeks, while the Control Group (CG) continued with their regular physical activities without any exposure to the specific training protocol. Upon completion of the eight-week training period, a post-test was administered to both groups. Data collected from both groups before and after the training period were statistically examined for significant improvement using the dependent 't' test. The level of significance was set at p <= 0.05. The results revealed that the Strength Based Training Group (SBTG) demonstrated statistically significant improvements in all selected bio-motor components and psychological variables when compared to the Control Group (CG) at the p <= 0.05 level of significance. The findings of the present study conclude that the eight-week strength-based training programme had a significant positive effect on the selected bio-motor components and psychological variables of kabaddi players.

? Abstract The present study explores the emotional well-being of orphan children residing in institutional care settings, with a specific focus on the influence of socio-demographic determinants. Orphan children are considered one of the most vulnerable groups in society, often facing multiple psychological, social, and emotional challenges due to the absence of parental care and support. Institutional environments, although designed to provide protection and basic needs, may not always ensure adequate emotional development and mental well-being. This study aims to assess the level of emotional well-being among orphan children and examine how various socio-demographic factors such as age, gender, educational status, duration of stay in the institution, and background characteristics affect their emotional health. A descriptive research design is adopted, and data is collected from children living in selected institutional care homes using standardized tools and structured questionnaires. The findings of the study are expected to highlight significant relationships between socio-demographic variables and emotional well-being, thereby providing insights into the psychosocial needs of orphan children. The study also seeks to suggest appropriate interventions and strategies for improving emotional support systems within institutional care settings. This research contributes to the field of Social Work by emphasizing the importance of holistic child development and strengthening institutional care practices to promote better emotional and psychological outcomes for orphan children.

The Ox by Herbert Ernest Bates is a poignant short story. It recounts the tragic life of a very simple woman (Mrs. Thurlow) who is a silent self-sacrificer for the sake of her own family while her husband (Mr. Thurlow) shows total negligence in the family's financial matter in the pretext of his being hurt in the warfare. The research seeks to point out how silence has played a pivotal role in the story The Ox. So, here in this article the role of silence in its different aspects as well as its manifestation in the story has been interpreted in connection with the characters and their associated situations. Mr. Thurlow is totally silent in the matter of familial well-being. As a result, Mrs. Thurlow Silently bears her life of sorrows and sufferings without any complaint. And her silent sufferings lead to the silencing of all her feelings and also her dreams. Likewise, her husband, her sons, her brother and in a way her society do not feel too much concern regarding the condition of the destitute woman. The paper also includes the significance of the title in association with the concept of silence and the symbolic interpretation of the cycle's stopping its service. Then, the article also shows how Mrs. Thurlow's hard toil and sufferings and the consequent loneliness and silence reflect her absurd existence.

The increasing prevalence of psychological stress in contemporary society has generated a growing interest in holistic approaches to mental well-being. Rapid urbanization, technological expansion, competitive work environments, and continuous social pressures have significantly contributed to anxiety, emotional imbalance, and mental fatigue. In response to these challenges, the ancient Yogic tradition offers a profound psychological framework for understanding and regulating the human mind. This study explores the concept of Citta-Vritti-Nirodha, articulated by Patanjali in the classical text Yoga Sutras, as a foundational principle for modern stress management. The phrase refers to the cessation or regulation of the fluctuations of the mind, which are considered the primary source of mental disturbance and psychological suffering. By examining the nature of citta (mind), vritti (mental modifications), and nirodha (restraint), the article interprets Yogic philosophy as an early form of psychological insight that anticipates many themes of modern psychology, including emotional regulation, cognitive control, and mindful awareness. The study further analyzes the five types of mental modifications described in the Yogic tradition and explains how the systematic practice of the Eightfold Path (A????ga Yoga) functions as a method of psychological discipline. Through ethical conduct, physical stability, breath regulation, and meditative concentration, the Yogic system gradually cultivates mental clarity and inner equilibrium. The discussion also highlights the relevance of Yogic practices such as meditation, controlled breathing, and mindful awareness in contemporary therapeutic and wellness contexts. Modern psychological research increasingly supports the effectiveness of these practices in reducing stress, improving attention, and enhancing emotional resilience. By integrating classical Yogic insights with contemporary understandings of mental health, the concept of Citta-Vritti-Nirodha emerges as a valuable bridge between ancient spiritual wisdom and modern psychological practice. The article concludes that Yogic psychology provides a comprehensive and practical framework for managing stress and promoting holistic well-being in modern life.

Industrial environments require sophisticated safety mechanisms to prevent dangers from hazardous events like fire outbreaks, gas leakage, abnormal thermal conditions, and excessive mechanical vibrations. An Industrial Monitoring System with Fault Prediction and Emergency Response is developed for multiplatform industrial safety, reliability, and operation efficiency. The system combines an ESP32-based embedded system with a distributed multi-sensor network to continuously gather vital parameters such as temperature, gas concentration, smoke levels, the presence of flames, vibrations, and air quality indicators.Real-time operational data is visualized in an IoT-enabled dashboard, a mobile application interface, and a local LCD unit, thus enabling continuous supervision and a remote sense of the situation for industrial processes.Under data evidence of the detected or anticipated abnormal operating conditions, automated emergency response mechanisms are triggered, including an acoustic alarm, actuation via relays for safety-critical control, and GSM-based communication for alert message transmission to the concerned authorities in real-time.In addition, an offline voice recognition module can perform emergency commands quickly without using the network, thereby increasing reliability under adverse conditions and human-in-the-loop emergency control.Experimental validation and simulation-based analysis illustrate that the early-stage identification of fault-prone conditions is attained, alongside a reduction in emergency response latencies. Fuzzy logic-based decision intelligence for uncertainty and non-linearity in multi-sensor streams are incorporated to improve predictive performance for pro-active risk disaster mitigation and predictive maintenance to industrial infrastructures for safety
