This study investigates the interrelationship between work-life balance and mental well-being among female school teachers in the South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. Traditionally, alongside their professional responsibilities, these women manage intensive domestic chores such as cooking, child-rearing, and house cleaning. Employing a quantitative research design, data was collected from 50 female teachers at government-aided schools within the Baruipur subdivision. Analysis, utilizing descriptive statistics and the Pearson product-moment correlation test, revealed that the majority of the teachers maintain a high level of balance between their professional and family lives. Furthermore, most participants reported moderate to high levels of mental well-being, and no instances of poor mental health were observed among any of the respondents. A significant finding of the study is the existence of a strong positive correlation (r = 0.829) between work-life balance and mental well-being, indicating that the effective integration of roles significantly enhances mental stability. According to the results of the T-test, there are no significant differences in either work-life balance (t = 0.385) or mental well-being (t = 0.490) based on whether the teachers reside in urban or rural areas. The study concludes that institutional support, such as flexible scheduling and measures to reduce workload, is essential for maintaining both professional efficiency and mental tranquility.

The present study examined differences in personality traits, with a specific focus on agreeableness and conscientiousness among adolescents exposed to high versus low interparental conflict (IPC). The sample comprised 300 adolescents aged 10-14 years, categorized into high IPC (n = 150) and low IPC (n = 150) groups including both male and female based on their perceptions of parental conflict. Interparental conflict was assessed using the Children's Perception of Interparental Conflict Questionnaire (Grych & Fincham, 1992), and personality traits were measured using the Big Five Inventory (John & Srivastava, 1999). Independent samples t-tests were conducted to examine group differences. Results indicated that adolescents from low IPC households scored significantly higher on both agreeableness (M = 35.26, SD = 4.60) and conscientiousness (M = 37.05, SD = 4.84) than those from high IPC households (agreeableness: M = 31.33, SD = 4.76; conscientiousness: M = 32.67, SD = 5.35), with large effect sizes (Cohen's d > 0.80). These findings underscore the importance of a low-conflict family environment in supporting adaptive personality development during early adolescence.

With the rapid growth of CCTV surveillance systems in both public and private environments, a massive amount of video data is continuously generated. However, identifying lost or unattended objects from this footage remains a manual, time- consuming, and inefficient task. This paper presents an AI-based Lost and Found Monitoring System that automatically detects unattended objects using computer vision techniques. The system utilizes YOLOv8 for real-time object detection and ByteTrack for tracking objects across consecutive frames. A state-based logical model is implemented to analyze human-object interaction and determine whether an object is attended or unattended over time. Instead of focusing on identifying object ownership, the system emphasizes detecting loss situations based on spatial proximity and temporal behavior. The proposed system provides useful outputs such as snapshots, timestamps, and event logs, which assist security personnel in locating lost items efficiently. The system is lightweight, practical, and suitable for real-time deployment using existing CCTV infrastructure.

This paper explores the relationship between memory, trauma, and fragmented narrative structure in The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy, arguing that the novel constructs a distinctive narrative form that mirrors the psychological experience of trauma. Rather than presenting trauma as a coherent recollection of past events, the narrative disrupts chronological continuity and develops a structure based on repetition, narrative gaps, and temporal dislocation. Drawing on trauma theory and memory studies, this paper argues that Roy's narrative technique produces what may be described as a poetics of broken time in which past and present coexist simultaneously. Through nonlinear structure, narrative silence, and linguistic experimentation, the novel represents trauma as an ongoing psychological condition rather than a completed historical event. The study demonstrates that fragmentation functions not merely as a stylistic device but as a representational strategy that reveals the persistence of traumatic memory.

ABSTRACT In Ayurveda the term Pariksha is used in place of Pramana. The synonyms of Pariksha are Pramana, Saadana, Jnana, Upalabdhi. Any abnormalities in the structural, physiological or psychological aspects of the body are a disease. For proper treatment of any disease perfect diagnosis is must. Pariksha helps in understanding the state and site of Dosha, Dooshya and Dosha Dooshya Sammurchna. Pariksha's like Prathyaksha and Anumana holds relevance in the current clinical methods. Examinations help to obtain knowledge regarding the severity and intensity of morbidity of disease. Pariksha helps to arrive at proper diagnosis by understanding the condition of the patient. The term "Aakrithi Pariksha" refers to the patient's overall appearance. The "Posture" adapted by the patient inrelation to the diseased condition may also comes under the umbrella of this. Samhanana Pariksha1 of the tenfold examinations mentioned by Charaka further more will be used to evaluate Aakrithi Pariksha. The current paper makes an attempt to select several references in samhitas related to diagnose the disease depending on different postures of Individual.

Vasovagal syncope (VVS) is a brief loss of consciousness brought on by an imbalance in the autonomic nervous system that frequently results in secondary damage. This paper describes a real-time embedded system for VVS prediction that uses an Isolation Forest classifier installed on an Arduino Uno and a web interface, along with ECG-derived heart rate variability (HRV) parameters. The system's accuracy in identifying pre-syncopal patterns is 95.68%. According to a recent study by Lee et al. (2024), machine learning models utilising HRV alone could predict syncope with 72% accuracy about three minutes before to onset. In order to achieve similar predictive capability without relying on external computing equipment, the current work expands on these findings by constructing a standalone embedded system. For continuous ambulatory monitoring, the suggested system provides an affordable solution.

In an increasingly interconnected world, language barriers remain a significant obstacle to communication, education, and commerce, often limiting access to information and opportunities across diverse populations. This paper presents VoiceBridge, a lightweight and user-friendly Android application designed to enable real-time multilingual translation across 87 languages. The system supports three primary input modalities: voice recognition through speech-to-text processing, manual text entry for precise input, and camera-based optical character recognition (OCR) for extracting text from images and printed materials. By integrating Google ML Vision for accurate text detection, the Android SpeechRecognizer API for efficient voice input, and the Google Translate endpoint for translation, VoiceBridge delivers a seamless and responsive user experience. Developed using Kotlin and View Binding, and compatible with Android API levels 24 through 34, the application is optimized for performance andaccessibility across a wide range of devices. VoiceBridge achieves sub-second response times for capturing voice input and typically generates translated output within two to four seconds under standard network conditions. The system architecture is modular, allowing for easy scalability and future integration of advanced features. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the application's design, including its architecture, implementation methodology, and integration of multiple APIs. Additionally, the study evaluates the system's performance through empirical testing and user feedback. Results indicate a usability score of 4.3 out of 5 based on trials conducted with 50 participants, highlighting the application's practicality and ease of use. The OCR module demonstrates a baseline accuracy of 95.8%, making it reliable for most real-world scenarios involving printed text. However, several challenges are identified, such as the reliance on the deprecated AsyncTask pattern for background processing and dependency on an unofficial translation endpoint, which may impact long-term stability and scalability.

Brides Are Not for Burning is Dina Mehta's award winning play for which she bagged first prize in an international competition of playwriting sponsored by BBC in1979 for radio plays. Though the play is considered as a critique of dowry in Indian society, it also throws light on the equally significant issue of class conflict in the Indian social structure. The plot of the play revolves around the sudden death of the young bride, Lakshmi, who is a victim of dowry death. Through this play the hierarchical structure in Indian society is depicted where the upper-class dominates the middle-class which perpetuates moral decay and exploitation. The interaction between economic inequality, social power and gender oppression is also brought forth through this play. The class conflict in this play is depicted through the skirmish between the rich and the poor as well as through the tension caused within the middle class owing to its struggle for upward mobility. The present research paper is an attempt to study how the play depicts the class divisions within our Indian social structure. This research paper argues that the tragedy of the characters in the play is intensified due to the class conflict between them .The play highlights an urgent need for social transformation in this context.
