 Abstract

This attempt has been made to review the basic principles and significance of thin Layer chromatography (TLC) in different analytical methods, research in general and in phytochemistry. TLC can be performed with less complicated technique, takes minimum time, low cost, simple so easy to operate. It has a wide range of application in general chemistry laboratones for several decades to routinely separate chemical and biomolecule products. Also it has wide application in pharmaceutical analysis and in identifying impurities in a compound. TLC can be used as a preliminary analytical method prior to HPLC. It is also useful to monitor the progress of a reaction and identification of compound present in a given substance. Study highlights the review on TLC and it's application in various fields like environmental toxicology, food and in herbal analysis.

 Abstract

Diabetes mellitus includes various diverse disorders commonly exhibiting episodes of hyperglycaemia and glucose intolerance, as a result of insulin deficiency, defective insulin action, or both1. Such complications arise due to defects in the regulatory mechanisms which control the storage and mobilization of glucose and other metabolic fuels. The catabolism and anabolism of carbohydrates, lipids and proteins as a result of the defective insulin secretion is also one of the major causes of the disease 2, 3. Hibiscus rosa-sinesis Linn. (Malvaceae) is a glabrous shrub widely cultivated in the tropics and has been known for its diverse medicinal properties, however, it is important to access the toxicity of the ethanol extract of wild variety of Hibiscus rosa sinensis flowers via oral toxicity test which has been carried out in the present study.

 Abstract

Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV is popularly deemed RAJARSHI or 'Saintly King', a Moniker with which Mahatma Gandhi revered the king in 1925 for his administrative reforms and achievements. In the history of Karnataka, Krishnaraja Wodeyar-IV has a prominent place. During his 40 years of existence, Mysore saw many progress. Krishnaraja Wodeyar-IV believed that education is the source of wealth. An educational revolution took place during the time of the Krishnaraja Wodeyar-IV. He implemented the compulsory education system with the aim of modernizing the Mysore state by implementing the western model of education. His aspiration was that there should be a school in every village, everyone should get free education and everyone should become literate. In this direction, all the schools and colleges of the state were established. Degree colleges, Sanskrit schools and girls' school colleges were established (Maharaja and Yuvaraja Colleges were established in Mysore). University of Mysore in 1916 as the pinnacle of achievement in the field of education was established and Indian institute of science also established by maharaja at Bangalore in 1911.

 Abstract

Introduction: Problems with behaviour include issues that significantly deviate from customary behaviour. These issues are more internalised, stable, and challenging to treat than the adjustment issues. Parents most frequently use constructive methods of behaviour modification, such as maturity demands, limit setting, argumentation, monitoring, and supervision. Parents are more frequently using harsh, unfavourable methods of behaviour control, such as physical abuse and verbal abuse. Aim: - The aim of this comparative study was to assess the behavioural pattern of a single child and the child with sibling between the age group of 6-12 years in selected areas at Sagar (MP)". Objectives: 1) To assess the behavioural pattern of a single child. 2) To assess the behavioural pattern of children with siblings. 3) To compare the behavioural pattern of a single child and the child with sibling between the age group between 6-12 yrs. 4) To find out the association between the behavioural pattern of a single child and their selected demographic variables such as mother's age, educational status, occupation, income parenting style, and child age, sex, type of family, birth order and educational status. 5) To find out the association between the behavioural pattern of children with siblings and their selected demographic variables such as mother's age, educational status, occupation, income, parenting style, and child age, sex, type of family, birth order and educational status. Method: - This research study was carried out "a comparative study to assess the behavioural pattern of a single child and the child with sibling between the age group of 6-12 years in selected areas at Sagar (MP)". The quantitative research approach and a Comparative Research design was used for the study. A convenient sampling technique was used to choose 50 samples. Modified Rosen stocks and Becker and Health Belief Model is used to assess the behavioural pattern. Result: - The data analysis was done using descriptive and inferential statistics. The mean score of single child behaviour was 61.24 and SD was 17.72 and the mean score of sibling child behaviour was 52.32 and SD was 16.73. The observed 't' value was 0.20. This calculated value is lesser than the table value at 0.5% level of significance which showed that this was less significant. Conclusion: Childhood is a crucial time in one's life. The youngster experiences a notable transformation in his or her life during this time. The child's problems must be recognised and resolved by parents and educators. Poor interpersonal skills are a common problem among single children as a result of ineffective relationships. To assist and mentor the kids in leading a life that is both physically and psychologically healthy, the parents must recognise their issue and interact with them.

 Abstract

Watermarking has been considered as a technique that provides copyright security, authentication protection to digital data. This technique is an emerging technique in terms of data security. Many techniques and algorithms have been developed for data security. It includes spatial domain or covered domain for data acquisition, in which their various properties are mainly useful for data acquisition, such as robustness, anonymity, and fidelity, etc. Also, it is also seen that covered frequency domain technique gives an excellent result; it is easy to obtain data through this technique from any other domain such as local domain etc., so at present this technique is mostly being used. Data can be strengthened through technology and good digital watermarking can be planned. Nowadays, there are various types of attacks in digital data such as data being stolen unintentionally or intentionally, for which an important plan can be made through this technique, which can include image processing attacks such as compression, frame dropping, theft, Geometric distortion, loss of speaker quality, etc. In this research paper, an in-depth research has been done on various techniques available for watermarking based on frequency domain to find out a secure technique that can withstand any type of attack involving all types of digital content.

 Abstract

Silence speaks louder than words. Amidst the clamour of voices and clatter of self -expression ,sometimes silence and mute acceptance speak a lot and compels the reader to read between the lines as well as beyond the lines. Silencing a voice gives rise to inquisitiveness regarding the expression or matter that was so unexpectable or dangerous that needed to be restricted. But silence has the fullness of speech."The fullness of silence would have exploded if it had not been able to in speech"( Max Picard 24) So silence has been adopted as a weapon by so many writers to vociferate the voiceless, the ugly, harrowing and deep distressing agony. Shashi Deshpande, a distinguished Indian woman writer , in her novels and stories makes her women protagonists speak louder by keeping them mum. They very effectively give voice to the suppressed feelings of women. In this paper ,I have taken into study three of her stories : 'A liberated Women',' The Stone Woman' and 'Why a Robin'. The three stories present three perspectives of women. Firstly, a woman who is highly educated and liberal yet bullied by her less educated husband because she hurts his ego. Secondly,a woman who does not accept the narcissistic existence of women as it is nothing but a matter to gratify the animal desires of male gaze. Thirdly, a women who is less educated and sophisticated and finds herself out of place and time because of her being naive and less educated.
