This paper presents EchoMind, an Android-based conversational avatar system built upon four tightly coupled technical components: on-device automatic speech recognition, a cloud-hosted large language model for response generation, a neural text-to-speech engine for vocal output, and a Unity-rendered three-dimensional character for visual feedback. Rather than developing proprietary deep learning models from the ground up, EchoMind adopts an orchestration-based architecture that integrates established third-party services through well-defined interfaces, making the system both feasible as a final-year academic project and straightforward to extend. The interaction pipeline begins when the user activates the microphone; the captured audio is transcribed locally, a rolling context summary is computed on the client side, and the consolidated prompt is dispatched to the language model. The generated textual reply is subsequently synthesized into natural-sounding speech and delivered through an animated avatar capable of transitioning among idle, greeting, listening, and speaking states. A lightweight local memory buffer preserves conversational continuity across successive turns without imposing significant computational overhead. The overall architecture demonstrates that coherent, human-friendly voice interfaces can be constructed by composing existing Artificial Intelligence (AI) services and game-engine tooling, entirely bypassing the need to train a bespoke foundation model.

Abstract Introduction : Severe preeclampsia is an obstetric complication that leads to significant maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality. The objective was to determine the maternal and perinatal prognosis of severe preeclampsia at the Zinder Maternal and Child Health Center (MCHC) in Niger. Methodology: This was a prospective cross-sectional descriptive study conducted from January 1st to December 31st, 2024. All cases of severe preeclampsia, whether antepartum or postpartum, admitted to and treated at the Zinder CSME, and for which the pregnancy outcome was known, were included. Results : During the study period, we recorded 3,764 obstetric admissions, including 254 cases of severe preeclampsia, representing a frequency of 6.74%. The patients were primiparous, followed by grand multiparous women in 39.77% (n=101) and 27.95% (n=71), respectively. 70.07% (n=178) of the women were not enrolled in school, and three out of four pregnant women (74.80%, n=190) were referred. Pregnancies were monitored with one prenatal visit in 51.96% (n=132) of patients. Cesarean section was the most common mode of delivery (51.96%, n=132). Maternal complications included eclampsia (32.28%, n=82), placental abruption (10.62%, n=27), postpartum hemorrhage (7.08%, n=18), HELLP syndrome (2.75%, n=7), and 6 maternal deaths (2.36%, n=6). Hysterectomy for hemostasis was observed in 2.75% of cases (n=7). Perinatal complications were dominated by prematurity (53.93%, n=137), respiratory distress (24.40%, n=62), fetal growth restriction (17.71%, n=45), peripartum asphyxia (10.23%, n=26), intrauterine fetal death (6.69%, n=17), and a perinatal mortality rate of 13.77% (n=35). Conclusion : Severe preeclampsia is common at the Zinder Maternal and Child Health Center (MCHC), affecting both primiparous and multiparous women. It is complicated in poorly monitored pregnancies, resulting in high maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality rates.

This paper investigates the binary of ethical resolution presented in the Mah?bh?rata through its two preeminent warriors, Arjuna and Kar?a. The study contrasts Arjuna's adherence to Vi?va-Dharma (universal duty) against Kar?a's commitment to Prat?tyasamutp?da-Mitratva (relational loyalty and interdependent friendship). Utilising the Bhagavadg?t? and the Udyog Parva as primary sources, the research analyses how each protagonist navigates internal and external conflicts. While Arjuna's path represents a deontology filtered through spiritual detachment (vair?gya), Kar?a's path embodies a radical existentialist loyalty. The paper concludes by applying these models to modern institutional ethics, suggesting that while Arjuna's model ensures systemic stability and rule-based integrity, Kar?a's model highlights the profound human tension between personal gratitude and objective morality.

Cementoblastoma is a rare benign odontogenic neoplasm characterized by the formation of mineralized cementum-like tissue fused to the root of an involved tooth.4 It accounts for less than 1% of all odontogenic tumors and predominantly affects young individuals in the mandibular posterior region.1 Clinically, it presents with localized swelling and pain, while radiographically it appears as a well-defined radiopaque mass surrounded by a radiolucent halo attached to the tooth root.5 Histologically, the lesion demonstrates sheets of mineralized cementum-like tissue with reversal lines and peripheral plump cementoblasts.5 Although benign, cementoblastoma exhibits unlimited growth potential and may cause cortical expansion and root resorption.5 The standard treatment involves complete surgical excision along with extraction of the associated tooth. Recurrence is uncommon but may occur following incomplete removal.4 This review discusses epidemiology, etiopathogenesis, clinical and radiographic features, histopathology, differential diagnosis, treatment strategies, and prognosis.

Social media influencers have enormous sway with youth; however, little is known about how they communicate about mental health and how young people respond to this content. This study used semi-structured, remote interviews with 31 participants aged 16 to 24 to explore how young people feel about how social media influencers discuss mental health online. Thematic analysis and member-checking processes were used to identify five themes, each reflecting a tension in how participants viewed a specific aspect of influencer content. Themes included the style (casual or serious), volume (inadequate or excessive), focus (distress or solutions), source (lived experience or professional advice), and sponsorship status (persuading or exploitative) of influencer content. Young people appear to hold widely varying, nuanced preferences regarding influencer mental health content. Notwithstanding some risks and limitations, influencers can generate engaging mental health content. Their potential role in shaping youth mental health and other health communication efforts warrants further exploration.

This is the final report, which summarizes, generalizes, and greatly extends the eleven Written Progress Reports (WPRs) created during the NTCC course. The general thesis of the study is that the fiction of Kazuo Ishiguro systemically questions the wavering fabrication of memory, ethics of emotional control, politics of complicity and the definition of humanity in technologically mediated cultures. This paper proves that through years of close reading, Ishiguro creates narrative worlds where people carry the systems of oppression within and silently bargain their identity in the grey areas of morality through a series of choices about who they are and what life is.

Education is widely recognized as a fundamental human right and a crucial instrument for promoting socio-economic development, social equity, and individual empowerment. It not only enhances knowledge and skills but also plays a significant role in reducing inequalities and fostering inclusive growth. Despite various policy initiatives and educational reforms, disparities in educational opportunities continue to persist, particularly between rural and urban populations. These disparities are evident in terms of access to quality infrastructure, availability of trained teachers, digital resources, and overall learning environments. The present study seeks to examine and compare the availability and accessibility of educational opportunities among rural and urban students at the secondary level. A total sample of 200 students, comprising 100 rural and 100 urban learners, was selected using random sampling techniques to ensure representativeness. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire that focused on multiple dimensions of educational opportunities, including infrastructural facilities, teacher support, digital access, and availability of learning resources. The collected data were analyzed using appropriate statistical tools such as mean, standard deviation, and independent samples t-test to determine the level of differences between the two groups. The findings of the study reveal a statistically significant difference in educational opportunities, with urban students having greater access to educational resources and better learning conditions. The study further highlights the existence of a considerable digital divide and infrastructural inadequacies in rural areas, which negatively affect students' academic experiences. The findings emphasize the urgent need for targeted interventions, effective policy implementation, and equitable distribution of educational resources to bridge the gap and ensure equal and inclusive educational opportunities for all learners.
