The advent of social media has revolutionized communication, creating both opportunities and challenges for students' academic performance. This research examines the dual effects of social media engagement on educational outcomes, addressing its potential as both a distraction and a valuable educational tool. The primary aim is to investigate how various platforms influence students' focus, motivation, and learning strategies. To achieve this, a mixed-methods approach was employed, combining quantitative surveys of student usage patterns with qualitative interviews exploring personal experiences related to social media in academic contexts. Results indicate that while excessive social media use correlates with lower academic achievement due to distractions and procrastination, strategic and purposeful engagement can enhance collaboration, information sharing, and peer support among students. The implications of this study are significant, highlighting the need for educators to understand social media's complex role in learning environments. By fostering informed usage and digital literacy, educational institutions can better equip students to navigate the challenges and benefits of social media, ultimately promoting improved academic outcomes. This research contributes to the growing discourse on digital education, suggesting pathways for future exploration and practical applications within academic settings. Key Terms: social media, academic performance, educational outcomes, distractions, digital literacy, mixed-methods approach, student engagement, collaboration, information sharing, peer support.

The Great Gatsby, which is chosen for the study, replicates the mood of modernism and ecstatic nature of the times of the 1920s in the American society. The hot quest of materialistic perspective and the prevailing obsession with gathering wealth was through fair and some foul means seems to have engulfed the perfect America during that time. The Great Gatsby speaks of the blankness that lies at the very heart of glamour and ostentation symbolizing the Jazz Age. The Jazz Age which is considered as the age of materialism gets reflected in the parties that capture the mood of self-confidence and gaudiness. It remains as an undeniable fact that deep down in this mood lie boredom, fear and unavoidable crack-up. The action of the novel takes place in some important and lavish parties given by the different characters in the novel. The novel explores the American dream as it exists at a time in which a spiritual part of it has been wiped out and the material part has become the only revenue recognized as a way to accomplish it.

Abstract This study investigates the level of working memory and attention among bilingual undergraduate students in Tamil Nadu, where bilingualism is an integral part of education and daily communication. Bilingualism, defined as the ability to use two languages proficiently, places unique cognitive demands on working memory and attention control. Using quantitative research methods, this study explores the relationships between working memory capacity, assessed through digit span tasks (both forward and backward), and attention levels, measured through cognitive tasks requiring sustained focus. The findings indicate a strong correlation between bilingual students' working memory capacity, attention control, and academic performance, particularly in verbal comprehension and language-related tasks. The results highlight the cognitive advantages of bilingualism while also acknowledging potential cognitive load effects. These insights contribute to understanding the cognitive mechanisms supporting bilingual education and emphasize the need for targeted interventions to enhance memory and attention in academic settings.

The rapid progress of artificial intelligence (AI) has enabled the creation of highly realistic deepfake audio, where machine learning models synthesize human speech with remarkable accuracy. While these advancements have legitimate applications in areas such as entertainment, virtual assistants, and accessibility, they also pose significant risks, including fraud, misinformation, and identity theft. Cybercriminals increasingly exploit deepfake audio for phishing scams, impersonation attacks, and social engineering, making it challenging for individuals and organizations to verify the authenticity of voice recordings. This study presents a machine learning-powered deepfake audio detection system designed to analyze speech patterns and classify audio recordings as either genuine or AI-generated. By utilizing spectrogram analysis, convolutional neural networks (CNNs), and transformer-based architectures like Wav2Vec2, the model can identify inconsistencies and detect synthetic speech patterns. The system is trained on datasets containing both real and AI-generated voices, ensuring its effectiveness in distinguishing between the two. The proposed solution aims to enhance cybersecurity by offering an automated and efficient method to detect deepfake audio, thereby helping to prevent fraud and misinformation in digital communication.

This paper examines the performance of health sector in India during the pandemic period through different parameters like Health infrastructure and Health Care services. Although there has been overall improvement in the health infrastructure throughout this period but this improvement is not uniform across all the states. States like Haryana, Bihar, Jharkhand etc. have not been able to ripe the benefits of this improvement. Road connectivity to these rural health care institutions has also shown improvement in these years but disparity is seen in this regard too with some states like Sikkim, Goa performing best while some states like Uttarakhand having poor connectivity. We also highlight the progress of India regarding improving the health care services by reducing the gap between the in sanctioned and in position health service providers like doctors, paramedical staff, nursing staff etc. In this context also, there is disparity across the states. The performance of J&K in health sector and after covid has been average both during pre and post covid period.
