 Abstract

This study aims to develop a conceptual model to assess the awareness of traffic police in Belagavi City regarding the prevention of varicose veins. The study focuses on understanding the knowledge levels and practices related to varicose vein prevention among traffic officers, given their prolonged periods of standing and the associated risk factors. A comprehensive evaluation will help identify gaps in their awareness, and based on these findings, an informative booklet on varicose vein prevention will be created. This intervention is expected to enhance knowledge and contribute to the health and well-being of the traffic police officers, ultimately improving their quality of life and preventing potential health complications due to varicose veins.

 Abstract

This study focuses on the formulation and evaluation of an activated charcoal peel-off mask incorporating lemon peel extract. Activated charcoal is well known for its adsorptive properties, helping to remove dirt, toxins, and excess oil from the skin. Lemon peel, rich in vitamin C, antioxidants, and citric acid, provides additional benefits such as skin brightening, exfoliation, and antimicrobial activity. The mask is formulated using natural ingredients along with suitable polymers to ensure proper consistency, spreadability, drying time, and peelability. The prepared formulation is evaluated based on key parameters, including pH, viscosity, drying time, spreadability, and efficacy in cleansing and improving skin texture. The results indicate that the activated charcoal peel-off mask with lemon peel extract effectively removes impurities, controls oil secretion, reduces acne, and enhances skin radiance.

 Abstract

Abstract: Introduction: Medical students are exposed to a significant level of pressure because of their academic demands. Thus, they are at increased risk for sleep disorders. Objectives: The objectives of the study were to determine the effect of sleep deprivation on the academic performance and cognitive functions among the college students. Materials and Methods: This work is a cross-sectional questionnaire-based study. Participants of this study consisted of first-, second-, and third-year medical students. The Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) was adopted to identify sleep disorder, and the grade point average of the students was recorded for academic performance. Results: A total of 177 respondents, with a response rate of 55%, were obtained. According to the PSQI score, 36.6% of participants were considered to have abnormal sleep habits, with a statistically significant increase in female students (P < 0.05). Abnormal PSQI scores were associated with lower academic achievement (P < 0.05). Marital status, habitat, smoking and physical activity were also associated with PSQI scores. Conclusions: A high prevalence of sleep disorder was found in this population, specifically among female students. Analysis of the relationship between sleep disorder and academic performance indicates a significant relationship of PSQI scores with marital status, habitat, smoking, physical activity, and academic performance.

 Abstract

This study examines the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in e-commerce, focusing on consumer awareness, benefits, challenges, and adoption factors. It found that AI improves the shopping experience, especially through personalized recommendations and faster search results, but trust and privacy concerns remain significant barriers. While many consumers value AI features, they are cautious about data security and the reliability of AI-driven decisions. The study recommends enhancing transparency, improving AI tool effectiveness, addressing privacy issues, and educating consumers to foster greater trust and adoption of AI in e-commerce.

 Abstract

Biomedical signals are employed to implement the hidden physiological mechanisms of some biological system or phenomenon. Inadequate analysis or improper interpretation of such signals may, in fact, result in unfavorable consequences, ranging from causing injury or death. A death rate of nearly 18 million is registering annually. Analysis of the signals provides the impression of the diseases of heart, brain and all other body parts. An Operational Transconductance Amplifier (OTA) is very suitable for explanation of these signals. In general, these biomedical signals are experiencing the low frequency and amplitude ranges. In this project, the OTA is implemented according to the specifications, with the help of CMOS Technology. The performance analysis can be achieved by providing a biomedical signal as a test signal to the input of the OTA. The tools employed for this OTA design are Cadence software, DSCH & Microwind. Multipath differential Operational Transconductance Amplifier is designed, the frequency response will be plotted and its performance analysis can be carried out by calculating with the available amplifier configurations such as current mirror symmetrical OTA & cascaded current mirror symmetrical OTA. The OTA is established for figures of merit like high CMRR, gain, etc., using OTA in biomedical signal amplification would result in an increased accuracy in the output. Such outputs under correct interpretation would assist the complications of the very important organs of the body thus enhancing the rate of mortality.

 Abstract

The present paper is focused on the role of family environment in the growth and development of children with special needs (CWSN). Family is known as a miniature of society. The role of family in the growth and development of the child is very important, it becomes more crucial when we talk about the children with special needs. Proper growth and development of the child is only possible if a conducive environment is provided at home. A positive family environment promotes moral values, cultural values and the overall growth and development of the child. Children with special needs require special attention at the early stage If it is not taken care of well on time it can lead to some serious disorders at the later stage of growth and development. For the study researcher were selected 50 families of children with special needs and data was collected using self prepared questionnaire. In this study, the researcher applied percentages, tabulation, and bar diagram to analyse the data to study the role of family environment on the growth and development of children with special needs. Finding of the study revealed that the majority of parents accept that family support and supportive attitude of family towards children with special needs, and providing a conducive environment at home played a important role in the overall growth and development of children with special needs

 Abstract

Unlawful detention of accused persons remains a significant concern in the Indian criminal justice system, particularly in Uttar Pradesh. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the legal framework and standards governing detention, focusing on constitutional provisions, statutory laws, judicial precedents, and international human rights norms. The study examines the extent of compliance with these legal safeguards and highlights instances where procedural lapses lead to wrongful detention.Using a socio-legal approach, the research analyzes the impact of such detentions on individuals and society, emphasizing the role of law enforcement agencies, judiciary, and human rights organizations. The paper also explores key challenges, including custodial violence, prolonged pretrial detention, and lack of legal awareness among detainees. Through case studies and empirical data, it assesses the effectiveness of existing legal remedies and suggests reforms to ensure a more just and accountable system. This study aims to contribute to the discourse on legal protections against arbitrary detention and propose policy recommendations for strengthening safeguards against human rights violations in Uttar Pradesh.

 Abstract

This study examines the adoption of electric two-wheelers (E2Ws) in Coimbatore, focusing on the impact of price sensitivity on consumer decisions. Although E2Ws offer long-term savings on fuel and maintenance, their high initial cost remains a significant barrier, especially for price-conscious buyers. The research is based on primary data collected from 146 respondents and employs statistical tools such as chi-square analysis, ANOVA and simple percentage analysis to evaluate the relationship between demographics and purchasing behavior. Findings suggest that government subsidies, flexible financing options like EMI plans and lease-to-own models, and improved charging infrastructure can help mitigate price sensitivity. However, concerns about battery life, resale value, and the availability of charging stations also influence purchasing decisions. The study reveals that younger consumers and those with higher disposable incomes are more inclined to invest in E2Ws, while a lack of awareness about government incentives hinders broader adoption. To boost market penetration, policymakers and manufacturers must focus on transparent pricing, expanding charging infrastructure, and enhancing financial incentives. Addressing these economic and infrastructural challenges is essential for increasing E2W adoption in Coimbatore and promoting sustainable urban mobility solutions.
