 Abstract

Physiology states that the nutritional need of a new born is taken care of by the breast milk secreted by the mother's body soon after the birth of the baby, but this is not the reality in many cases today. Nowadays, we find mothers who cannot produce breast milk either at all or in insufficient quantity. This is Stanya Kshaya. As Stanya is the Upadhatu of Rasa Dhatu, its absence or reduction in quantity is due to improper nourishment of Rasa Dhatu. This can also be considered as Rasa Kshaya or Stanya Shosha. The nourishment of Rasa Dhatu is dependent on both Sharirika and Manasika Bhavas. Data from an article shows that 37% of subjects have lactational insufficiency. Easy availability of supplemental foods like formula milk is causing significant changes in the percentage of mothers willing to breastfeed their babies. Hence, the study on Stanya Kshaya is necessary. In this study, the Charakokta Stanya Janana Mahakashaya will be administered, and results will be obtained by comparison between symptoms before and after treatment.

 Abstract

The management of solid waste has emerged as a critical environmental and governance challenge in developing countries like India, particularly in rural areas where institutional capacities remain limited. While urban waste management has received substantial policy attention, rural regions continue to face systemic neglect despite increasing waste generation due to demographic expansion and changing consumption patterns. This paper examines the status, institutional framework, and governance dynamics of sustainable solid waste management (SWM) in rural West Bengal, with a specific focus on Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs). Drawing upon secondary data from official reports, policy documents, and existing literature, the study adopts a mixed-method analytical framework to explore the relationship between local governance and waste management outcomes. The findings reveal that although regulatory frameworks such as the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016, and state-level initiatives have created a formal structure, their implementation remains uneven across districts. A few Gram Panchayats have demonstrated notable success through participatory governance and collaboration with civil society, whereas many others continue to struggle due to lack of infrastructure, financial constraints, and limited administrative capacity. The paper argues that sustainable waste management in rural areas is fundamentally a governance issue, requiring effective decentralization, community participation, and institutional accountability. Strengthening local governance mechanisms and promoting behavioral change at the grassroots level are essential for ensuring long-term environmental sustainability and public health.

 Abstract

Medication non-adherence is a significant healthcare challenge, particularly among elderly patients and those with chronic conditions requiring multiple daily doses. This paper presents MEDIBOT, an innovative voice-controlled tablet dispensing system designed to improve medication compliance through hands-free operation and intuitive user interaction. The proposed system integrates an Arduino Uno microcontroller with a VC02 offline voice recognition module, enabling users to dispense medications using simple voice commands without internet connectivity. The system features a dual-servo mechanism for precise tablet selection and dispensing, LED indicators for operational feedback, and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery system ensuring portability. The device supports two operational modes--feeding mode for loading medications and dispensing mode for releasing tablets--switchable via a manual push button. Experimental results demonstrate reliable voice recognition accuracy and consistent tablet dispensing performance, making MEDIBOT a promising solution for assisted living facilities, home healthcare, and patients with mobility impairments.

 Abstract

Ayurveda defines health as a balanced state of Sharira, Indriya, Satva, and Atma, highlighting the importance of mental well-being. Manoavasada, a Manasika Vyadhi, is increasingly observed in breast cancer patients due to psychological stress. Charaka Samhita states "Vishado Rogavardhananam," indicating that depression aggravates disease conditions. Satvavajaya Chikitsa, a form of Trividha Chikitsa, aims at controlling the mind through Ahitebhyo Arthebhyo Manonigraha. A clinical study was conducted on 30 breast cancer patients with symptoms of Manoavasada. Satvavajaya Chikitsa was administered for 15 days with a 15-day follow-up. The therapy included Jnana, Buddhi, Manonigraha, Dhairya, Manoprasadana, and Atmavijnana. Assessment was done using the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HDRS). Results showed significant improvement in depressed mood, Chinta, Bhaya, Shoka, and Anidra. The mean HDRS score reduced from 31.63 to 10.86 (p < 0.001). Satvavajaya Chikitsa is an effective non-pharmacological supportive therapy for improving mental health in breast cancer patients.

 Abstract

This study examines whether the rapid adoption of Unified Payments Interface (UPI) has reduced India's dependence on cash transactions. Using primary survey data collected from respondents aged 15-70 across varied occupational groups, the paper analyses patterns in payment behaviour and the socio-economic factors influencing them. Descriptive statistics and chi-square tests are employed to examine the relationship between demographic variables specifically age and occupation and mode of payment (digital or cash). The findings indicate a strong and statistically significant association between these variables and payment choices, highlighting UPI's growing dominance in everyday transactions. While digital payments have clearly expanded financial inclusion and convenience, the persistence of cash usage among certain groups suggests that India is transitioning rather than fully moving away from cash. The paper concludes that UPI has substantially reduced reliance on cash, though structural and behavioural factors continue to shape payment preferences.

 Abstract

Carnatic Music is a holistic form of music because of the presence of innumerable compositions in different ragas, talas and languages by Composers from different time periods. While there have been many compositions composed in popular ragas, the contemporary composers have explored the rare ragas through their compositions. This study aims at a short analysis of the rare ragas handled by six contemporary composers.

 Abstract

The Santal community, one of the largest Indigenous tribal groups in India, maintains a rich cultural heritage closely connected with nature and traditional socio-religious practices (Singh 1994; Vidyarthi and Rai 1985). Among their important cultural traditions, the hunting festival known as Disom Sendra represents a significant collective ritual expressing community identity, ecological knowledge, and social unity (Bose 1971). Traditionally, the festival combined ritual worship, collective hunting, music, dance, and communal gathering, symbolizing the close relationship between humans and the forest environment. However, socio-economic change, environmental awareness, and wildlife conservation regulations introduced under the Wildlife Protection Act (Government of India 1972) have gradually transformed its traditional practices. This study examines the transition of the festival from actual hunting activities toward symbolic cultural expression. Using qualitative ethnographic approaches and oral narratives, the research highlights how the Santal community negotiates tradition and modernity while preserving cultural identity and sustaining the festival as an important form of living intangible cultural heritage.
