 Abstract

Educational institutions plays a crucial role in providing electronic resources to research scholars, students, and professionals. To ensure the integrity of licensed information and prevent malpractices, these institutions must uphold ethical standards. Additionally, they should raise awareness among users about issues such as copyright, data duplication, plagiarism, and other related concerns. This study is on Karnatak University research scholars for consideration of the ethics. Most of the respondents i,e., 41(68.3%) are aware of the copyright laws related to e-resources, only 1(1.7%) respondent never used open access resources for reference purpose and mainly this study found that the respondents i.e., 23 (38.3%) are strongly agreed the statement that yes very clearly communicated about ethical guidelines in using e-resources.

 Abstract

The rapid growth of e-commerce platforms has necessitated the development of scalable, cost-effective, and secure solutions that cater to evolving customer demands. This paper presents the design and implementation of a serverless microservices-based C2C (Customer-to-Customer) e-commerce platform that directly connects customers with dealers, eliminating intermediaries and enabling personalized product customization. Leveraging AWS Lambda, Amazon API Gateway, DynamoDB, and AWS Cognito, the platform ensures seamless scalability, cost efficiency, and robust security. A key feature of the system is its Al-driven recommendation algorithm, powered by TensorFlow/PyTorch, which employs content-based filtering personalized product suggestions. Additionally, the platform facilitates direct communication between customers and dealers, enabling real-time product customization and tailored modifications. The serverless architecture ensures dynamic scaling and high availability, while built-in security features, such as AWS Cognito for user authentication and AWS KMS for data encryption, safeguard sensitive information. Experimental results demonstrate the platform's ability to handle high traffic loads. deliver low-latency responses, and optimize operational costs. This work contributes to the to deliver on growing body of research serverless architectures and Al-driven e-commerce solutions, offering a scalable and secure alternative to traditional e-commerce platforms.

 Abstract

Last-mile transportation or final mile delivery which refers to the overall process involved in the final leg of a product's journey, including the planning process, resource management, and other aspects. With growing metropolitan development, with the growth of e-commerce, and increasing consumer appetites for faster, more convenient deliveries, logistics firms are experiencing more pressure to improve their last-mile tactics. Key hurdles in this last phase of delivery include traffic congestion, customer expectations, environmental concerns, high costs, and the necessity for real-time tracking and optimize vehicle utilization along with an improved customer centric philosophy. Divergent thinking and creative approaches are essential for overcoming these obstacles. This statement reviews new explanation such as integration of battery electric vehicles (BEVs), unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), last-mile delivery robots, micro fulfilling centre, and crowd shipping platforms. It also emphasizes the importance of business analytics, AI powered route optimization, and the commitment of sustainable delivery practices ability to reduce expenses and boost profitability. By reconsidering conventional models and implementing modern technologies, businesses can transform the last mile into a more sustainable, economical, and customer-focused operation. This essay will bright on how the supply chain industry might overcome such hurdles and develop within an increasingly complex environment.

 Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has revolutionized medical technology by significantly enhancing diagnostic accuracy, optimizing treatment plans, and advancing overall patient care. AI-driven innovations, including machine learning algorithms, robotics, natural language processing (NLP), and predictive analytics, have transformed various aspects of healthcare, leading to faster disease detection, personalized medicine, and improved patient outcomes. This paper provides a comprehensive analysis of AI's role in modern healthcare, focusing on its wide-ranging applications, benefits, challenges, and prospects. AI-powered tools have been instrumental in medical imaging, drug discovery, robotic surgeries, and virtual health assistants, streamlining complex medical processes and reducing human errors. Furthermore, AI facilitates real-time monitoring of patients through wearable devices and remote health management, enabling early detection of critical conditions and proactive intervention. Despite its vast potential, AI adoption in healthcare is not without challenges. Concerns surrounding data privacy, cybersecurity risks, algorithmic biases, regulatory compliance, and ethical considerations remain key obstacles that need to be addressed for widespread implementation. Additionally, integrating AI into existing healthcare systems requires significant infrastructure changes, training for medical professionals, and overcoming resistance to new technologies.

 Abstract

Through the characters of Kunti and Draupadi in "Roll of the Dice," and in "Rise of Kali", Neelakantan explores the complexities of gender dynamics and power structures inside a patriarchal society. The character Kunti is depicted as a deceitful person who pushes her social boundaries by justifying questionable actions for her sons' advancement, particularly by abandoning the Nishada family to satisfy dharma. Her contacts show the strict male-dominated standards that restrict women's agency, highlighting that her plea for authority hinges on male acceptance. In contrast, Draupadi embodies a shift from victimhood to empowerment, calling for retribution for her degradation and triggering her political actor role. Rooted in the caste hierarchy, her refusal of Karna challenges established power relations and shows her assertion of agency to which women generally yield. Draupadi's public cry for revenge highlights her rejection of patriarchal domination, turning embarrassment into a political power. As Kunti and Gandhari compete for power through their sons, their interaction emphasizes the competitive relationships between women in a patriarchal context. In general, both figures illustrate the intersection of caste and gender and thereby shed light on the more general themes of oppression and the search for autonomy. Neelakantan offers a sensitive observation of women's tireless search of identity and justice within inflexible social structures through their stories, calling for thought on current gender and power issues.

 Abstract

This study analyses how Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Neuroticism, and Openness affect investing behaviour in Hubli-Dharwad degree college professors. These qualities are assessed for their impact on financial decision-making. The exploratory study uses convenience sampling and a five-point Likert scale to measure personality. SEM analyses variable relationships. The measurement model's high Cronbach's alpha, Composite Reliability (CR), and Average Variance Extracted (AVE) results indicate its reliability and validity. Openness and Conscientiousness affect personality the most, whereas Extraversion affects it less but still significantly. Financial advisors, policymakers, and educators can learn from the findings about personality and financial decision-making. Psychological variables impacting investment choices are highlighted in the behavioural finance study. Additional demographic and psychological factors can influence investment behaviour in future studies.

 Abstract

Fresh water, a renewable but finite resource, faces scarcity due to excessive human consumption. With less than 3% of global water being fresh, desalination is crucial, albeit energy-intensive and costly. This project investigates sustainable solutions using microbial desalination cells (MDCs), powered by electro-active bacteria in dairy wastewater. Biochar from nutmeg enhances bacterial efficiency by increasing surface area. Potassium permanganate aids fuel cell function, while ceramic membranes support economical ion exchange. Monitoring includes energy production capacity, and desalination efficiency. The desalination efficiency can be measured based on the chloride content which is indirectly correlated to salinity. The characteristics of dairy waste water and sea water was studied. Dairy waste water showed a high pollution level. So, biological treatment should be provided. The feasibility of MDC in the pretreatment of dairy waste water is investigated through this project. The efficiency of MDC under various parameters like biochar concentration, potassium permanganate addition, number of days of treatment, electrode capacity will be analysed through this project. Key objectives include evaluating desalination potential of MDC using dairy waste water substrate aided with activated carbon as anolyte material, to study effect of nutmeg biochar on voltage generation, to understand the feasibility of potassium permanganate as electron acceptors in MDC, to analyze the treatment efficiency of MDC for dairy waste water.
