 Abstract

Birds have higher plasma glucose concentrations but lower cancer prevalence than other vertebrates. However, this inverse relationship between glucose and cancer may not hold within vertebrate groups. Given that diet affects blood sugar levels, and carnivores have higher cancer risk than herbivores, we also examined whether diet correlates with plasma glucose concentrations. We collected diet, mean plasma glucose concentration, and neoplasia data for up to 273 vertebrate species from existing databases. Across vertebrates, mean plasma glucose concentration negatively correlated with cancer prevalence, but that was mostly driven by differences in mean plasma glucose concentration and cancer prevalence between birds, mammals, and reptiles. Mean plasma glucose concentration was not correlated with diet across vertebrates nor with cancer prevalence within birds, mammals, or reptiles. Primary carnivores had higher neoplasia prevalence than herbivores when controlling for domestication. A hypothetical explanation for our results may be the evolutionary loss or downregulation of genes related to insulin-mediated glucose import in bird cells. This may have led to higher mean plasma glucose concentration, lower intracellular glucose concentrations in the form of glycogen, and production of fewer reactive oxygen species and inflammatory cytokines, potentially contributing to lower neoplasia prevalence in extant birds compared to mammals and reptiles.

 Abstract

Financial fraud had become a widespread issue in the modern financial landscape, affecting individuals, businesses, and economies. Fraudulent activities such as identity theft, phishing scams, Ponzi schemes, and cyber fraud resulted in significant financial losses and undermined public trust in financial systems. One of the most effective ways to combat fraud was through financial literacy. Individuals who were financially literate could recognize fraudulent schemes, make informed financial decisions, and take necessary precautions to safeguard their finances. This research explored the relationship between financial literacy and fraud prevention, using a questionnaire based survey to assess the level of awareness and preparedness among individuals of different age groups, educational backgrounds, and income levels. The study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of financial education programs, the impact of financial awareness on fraud detection, and the challenges individuals faced in understanding financial security. The findings emphasized the importance of integrating financial literacy programs into school curricula, workplace training, and public awareness campaigns. By improving financial knowledge, individuals could become more resilient against fraudulent schemes and contribute to a more secure financial environment.

 Abstract

An employee's performance in the workplace is significantly influenced by his level of job satisfaction. The impression of job safety among employees is influenced by both factors. A contented worker puts his all into his work, follows instructions more accurately, and takes care of both himself and other people. In the company, he feels secure. The purpose of the study was to use a straightforward poll to evaluate employees' job happiness and productivity. A survey asking workers at a selected ferrous company to rate their degree of job satisfaction was carried out in order to accomplish this goal. Nearly 66% of workers are satisfied or extremely satisfied with their occupations, according to the data. For workers in Nepal's commercial banks, "job security" is the most important component of job satisfaction. There is little difference in the degree of job satisfaction between male and female employees. Nonetheless, there are notable variations in the degree of job satisfaction across different employee age groups.

 Abstract

Effective management of warehouses contributes to the improvement of supply chains, cost savings, and customer satisfaction. In this research effort, the effectiveness of warehouse management procedures which include inventory control, layout design, technology integration, and employee productivity are analyzed. Using key performance indicators such as order accuracy, inventory turnover, and fulfillment speed, the best practices that enhance warehouse performance include automation, advanced technology integration, and the use of data analysis. Results show companies with integrated warehouse management systems (WMS) and automation report enhanced processing times and accuracy of inventory records. The research captures the issues logistics companies go through for example, limited space and lack of personnel, as well as the need for appropriate warehouse planning and personnel management. The research identifies the importance of integrated warehouse management systems in advancing supply chain transparency, enabling managers to make informed decisions based on real-time information. The research also identifies various challenges confronting logistics companies, such as labor shortages, increased operating expenses, and the intricacies of managing omnichannel distribution. The study further describes how efficient warehouse layout planning, employee training, and process standardization are taking benefit of the overall productivity of warehouse functions. Warehouse management is the linchpin of effective logistics operations, and it can be a key factor in maximizing supply chain activities. Using a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods such as interviews with Logictics firm managers, surveys, and study of operational figures from different providers of logistics, the research estimates the impact of warehouse management on critical performance parameters such as accuracy of inventory, order picking performance, and saving in costs. The study cites higher use of sophisticated warehouse management systems (WMS), automated equipment like robots and conveyor belts, and analytics software to maximize processes and eliminman errors. The study also considers warehouse design, layout, and space utilization as determinants of warehouse efficiency. Streamlining storage configurations and lean management practices can reduce staggering space waste savings and faster picking and packing speeds. The study also identifies the importance of workforce training and performance management to ensure employees are skilled with the capabilities to work optimally with cutting-edge technologies and maximized processes. The research also identifies the challenges of logistics firms, including employee taking a converged approach--integrating the combination of technology, staff development, and ongoing process improvement--will be more successful in the long run. Overall, this research identifies the increased relevance of warehouse management in logistics as well as contributing directly to the efficiency of supply chains, costs savings, and customer satisfaction. The study delivers significant insight back to logistics firms in the arena of competing with an ever-growing dynamic and speed-of-change environment.
