Mergers and Acquisitions have been used as an effective corporate restructuring and expansion tool in the business scenario worldwide. They are an effective tool in the hands of the management to achieve greater efficiency through synergies and growth opportunities. A merger is the process through which two separate firms combine their operations to become a single entity. In a merger, which is also known as a takeover, the existing shareholders of both companies that are involved continue to have an interest in the new corporation. On the other hand, in an acquisition, the company that is doing the acquiring purchases a sizeable portion of the stock of the company that is the target of the acquisition, regardless of whether or not the target company is willing to sell. A banking merger, on the other hand, is when two banks combine their resources to form a single institution. The purpose of this paper is to study about the recent trends and reasons of mergers and acquisitions (M & As) in India.

The current study shows the effect of pollution and contamination in the health status of families in and around the Rispana river. Rispana is one of the highest polluted rivers in Dehradun which is affecting the health status of the people. The present study was conducted with the aim of studying the causes of pollution in Rispana and the resultant health hazard along with the social economic losses of the locality. Study was divided into two round surveys. First survey was done in the core zone of Rispana in Deepnagar and Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) colony at the 50-meter distance from River where total 120 families were questioned, 60 from each side. Second survey was done in buffer zone at 50-meter aerial distance from where first survey ended. In the second survey also the total 120 families, 60 from each side were taken for the study. Comparison between core and buffer zone showed that the people in core zone (around Rispana) have more diseases and higher economic losses due to illness as compared to the buffer zone (Distant from Rispana).

Cisplatin is a platinum chemotherapeutic used in a variety of malignancies. The antineoplastic activity occurs from DNA cross-links and adducts, in addition to the generation of superoxide radicals. Nephrotoxicity is the most well-known and potentially most clinically significant toxicity. Unfortunately, the mechanism for cisplatin nephrotoxicity has not been completely elucidated; however, many theories have been developed. Other toxicities include gastrointestinal, myelosuppression, ototoxicity and neurotoxicity. Saline diuresis is currently the most accepted way to prevent cisplatin nephrotoxicity. Research has focused on pharmaceuticals and enzyme/molecular alterations as alternatives to long-term diuresis. No agents have currently been identified that can protect from all toxicities.

The possible occurrence of implant failure is a major concern for implantologists and knowledge in such unavoidable fact is clinically essential. Periimplantitis is an inflammatory response in which there is a loss of the bony support of the implant. Diagnosis is based on the clinical signs of infection such as hyperplastic soft tissues, suppuration, colour changes of the marginal peri-implant tissues and gradual bone loss. Progressive marginal bone loss without marked mobility is referring to a failing implant. The purpose of this concise review was to discuss the implant complications and failure by highlighting the major etiologic factors as well as the management such failure.

A robot is widely used in a different field because it deals with the layout, manufacture, and control of nanorobots using computers or other sensors. Physics, chemistry, biology, medicine, pharmaceutical sciences, engineering, biotechnology, and health sciences are multidisciplinary fields that require special planning on the part of research and engineering departments. These days the healthcare establishment goals, in addition, to enhance the satisfaction of scientific treatments via growing minimally invasive diagnostic techniques, which include helping new advances in nanotechnology. Nanorobot uses in cancer treatment, blood clot removal, atherosclerosis treatment and parasite removal etc.

The advantages of health information technology (IT) include facilitating communication between health care providers; improving medication safety, tracking, and reporting; and promoting quality of care through optimized access to and adherence to guidelines. Health IT systems permit the collection of data for use for quality management, outcome reporting, and public health disease surveillance and reporting. However, improvement is needed with all health IT, especially regarding design, implementation, and integration between platforms within the work environment. Robust interoperability is critical for safe care, but this goal has proved elusive. Significant patient safety concerns already have been recognized; it is important to keep patient safety and quality as the primary focus. Precision medicine (PM) is an emerging approach that appears with the impression of changing the existing paradigm of medical practice. Recent advances in technological innovations and genetics and the growing availability of health data have set a new pace of the research and impose a set of new requirements on the different stakeholders. Some studies are available that discuss about the different aspects of PM. Nevertheless, a holistic representation of those aspects deemed to confer with the technological perspective, in relation to the applications and challenges, have been mostly ignored. In this context, this paper surveys the advances in PM from the informatics viewpoint and reviews the enabling tools and techniques in a categorized manner. In addition, the study discusses how other technological paradigms, which include big data, artificial intelligence, and the internet of things, can be exploited to advance the potentials of PM. Furthermore, the paper provides some guidelines for future research for a seamless implementation and a wide-scale deployment of PM based on the identified open issues and the associated challenges. As a result, the paper proposes an integrated holistic framework for PM motivating informatics researchers to design their relevant research work in an appropriate context.

A research hotspot that extends cloud computing to the network's edge is edge computing. The ability to integrate the locator/identity separation protocol (LISP) into edge networks has been made viable by recent advancements in end device computation, storage, and network technology. As a result, we incorporate LISP into edge routers at the edge network in this study, concentrating especially on the delay problem of mapping resolution and cache updating in LISP with the aid of edge computing. We initially examine how the locator/identity separation network communicates before considering applying the prediction approach to support this research in order to address the delay problem. We propose and develop a Fixed Identity Mapping Prediction Algorithm (FIMPA) based on collaborative filtering in order to get good prediction results, and we further confirm the efficacy of the proposed algorithm by experiments on real-world data.
