 Abstract

Operational Technology (OT) systems, encompassing vital infrastructures like power grids, manufacturing plants, and transportation networks, are increasingly susceptible to cyber threats. This paper offers an in-depth exploration of OT attacks and the requisite security measures to fortify these critical systems. With the proliferation of interconnected devices and digitalization, OT environments face escalating risks, necessitating a proactive approach to cybersecurity. Drawing from recent case studies, evolving threat landscapes, and advanced mitigation strategies, this paper endeavors to empower stakeholders with comprehensive insights into safeguarding OT assets against emerging cyber adversaries. By elucidating the complexities of OT security and advocating for collaborative efforts, this paper seeks to foster resilience in the face of evolving cyber threats, ensuring the continued reliability and safety of critical infrastructures.

 Abstract

The study is carried out to evaluate the use of antibiotics and categorise them as WHO AWaRe classification of antibiotics. It is a prospective, cross- sectional study which is conducted in the in-patient department of general medicine, surgery, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, paediatrics, ENT conducted for six months using the medical records and case sheets of the patients available in government hospital in the Chittoor region of Andhra Pradesh. Study participants: Sample size of the study is approximately(N)=500-600. In this study, all age groups are taken into consideration except the pregnancy and lactating women and the mentally retarded patients. Results: Average number of drugs per prescription: 5.0%. Percentage of drugs prescribed by generic names: >95%, maximum all drugs are prescribed by their generic names. Conclusion: The WATCH group antibiotics are mostly given to the adult patients compared to the paediatrics. The ACCESS group antibiotics are mostly given to the paediatrics. Most commonly the antibiotics are given in the injection forms.

 Abstract

ABSTRACT Keeping hands clean through improved hand hygiene is one of the most important steps one can take to avoid getting sick and spreading germs to others. STATEMENT A study to assess the effectiveness of structured teaching programme and demonstration on the levels of knowledge and practice regarding hand washing among school aged children, at selected school, Bangalore. OBJECTIVES ?To assess the levels of knowledge regarding hand washing among school aged children. ?To assess the levels of practice of hand washing among school aged children. ?To find the effectiveness of structured teaching programme and demonstration on hand washing among school aged children. ?To find an association between the post test levels of knowledge and practice and the selected demographic variables of school aged children. METHODS A quantitative research approach of pre experimental with one group pre and post test design was chosen for this study. By using stratified random sampling technique a total of 40 samples were selected for the study. The structured teaching programme and demonstration was given by researcher. Pre and post test was conducted by structured questionnaire and observation check list. Data were recorded and coded. The data analysis was done by using descriptive and inferential statistics. RESULTS ?In the pretest out of 40, 38 (95%) of school aged children had inadequate knowledge, two (5%) had moderately adequate knowledge and none of them had adequate knowledge. whereas after structured teaching programme 28 (70%) of school aged children had adequate knowledge, 12 (30%) had moderately adequate knowledge and none of them had inadequate knowledge . ?In the pretest 40 (100%) of school aged children had poor practice and none of them had good and excellent practice. Whereas after demonstration 36 (90%) of school aged children had excellent practice, three (7.5%) had good practice and one (2.5%) had poor practice. ?The post assessment findings revealed that there was a significant difference at (p<0.05) in the mean difference score of pre and post test on effectiveness of structured teaching programme and demonstration. In this study result shows that structured teaching programme and demonstration on hand washing was effective in improving the levels of knowledge and practice among school aged children. Hence the H1 was accepted. ?There was a significant association (p<0.05) between the post test levels of knowledge and practice and the selected demographic variables. Hence the H2 was accepted. CONCLUSION From the study findings, it can be concluded that the structured teaching programme and demonstration was effective in improving the levels of knowledge and practice regarding hand washing among school aged children.
