The objective of the present investigation was to enhance the solubility and dissolution rate of glipizide, a hydrophobic drug, by solid dispersion techniques. In this study, glipizide solid dispersions were prepared using the rotary evaporation by using polyethylene glycol 6000 (PEG 6000) and Poloxamer 188. The drug and polymers were combined in different ratios: 1:1:1, 1:1:2, 1:1:3, 1:2:1, 1:2:2, 1:2:3, 1:3:1, 1:3:2, and 1:3:3. These formulations were investigated for drug content, solubility, and drug release study. FTIR and DSC technique were used to assess the drug-carrier interaction. Based on the FTIR data, there was no chemical interaction observed between the drug and polymers. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis revealed that the crystalline glipizide underwent a transformation into an amorphous state. Solubility of drug and solid dispersions were determined using a phosphate buffer pH 6.8 and distilled water. As compared to pure drug, solid dispersions show the better solubility in both media. The dissolution studies were conducted for a duration of two and a half hours using the USP dissolution apparatus type-I (Basket) in a phosphate buffer solution with a pH of 6.8.

The aim of this research is to prepare and characterize solid dispersion of Bicalutamide- polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) K-30 by freeze drying to increase its solubility. Solid dispersion of Bicalutamide - PVP K-30 was prepared by Freeze drying method with ratio 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3 and dried using a freeze dryer. Characterizations were done by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), powder X-ray diffraction analysis, and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy. Solubility test was carried out by Shake flask Method. Powder X-ray diffractogram showed a decrease in the peak intensity, which indicated the crystalline altered to amorphous phase. SEM results indicated the changes in the morphology of the crystal into an amorphous form compared to pure components. FT-IR spectroscopy analysis showed a shift wavenumber of the spectrum Bicalutamide and PVP K-30. The solubility of solid dispersion at ratio 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3 was 28.12?g/mL, 36.12 ?g/mL, and 63.25?g/mL, respectively, whereas the solubility of intact Bicalutamide was 8.12?g/mL. In conclusion, the solubility of solid dispersion increased significantly (P < 0.05).

Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a chronic inflammatory bowel disease characterized by inflammation and ulceration of the colon and rectum. Traditional treatment options often come with adverse effects and limited efficacy, prompting the search for alternative therapies. Boswellia serrata, commonly known as Indian frankincense, has anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory properties. Microsphere formulation overcomes the challenges of Boswellia serrata by providing sustained release and targeted delivery of Boswellia serrata extract to the inflamed mucosa. This review explores the potential of Boswellia serrata as a therapeutic agent for UC, focusing on its mechanisms of action, various formulations, particularly microspheres, and clinical evidence supporting its efficacy and safety development, characteristics, advantages, and applications of Boswellia serrata microspheres.

Nanotechnology is a new technology that has the potential to revolutionize a variety of scientific sectors. Nanoparticles are single particles with a diameter of 1-100 nm that are part of nanomaterials. Nanotechnology is an engineering of functional system at the molecular level, covers a broad range of topics and is focused on controlling and exploiting the structure of matter on a large scale below 100 nanometers. Nanotechnology is the future of advanced development. Cosmeceuticals are regarded as the fastest growing segment of the personal care industry and the use has risen drastically over the years. Nanocosmeceuticals used for skin, hair, nail, and lip care, for conditions like wrinkles, photoaging, hyperpigmentation, dandruff, and hair damage, have come into widespread use. Novel nanocarriers like liposomes, niosomes, nanoemulsions, microemulsion, solid lipid nanoparticles, nanostructured lipid carrier, and nanospheres have replaced the usage of conventional delivery system. These novel nanocarriers have advantages of enhanced skin penetration, controlled and sustained drug release, higher stability, site specific targeting, and high entrapment efficiency. Nanoparticles have recently become a popular material for developing new cutting-edge applications in communications, energy storage, sensing, data storage, optics, transmission, environmental protection, cosmetics, biology, and medicine due to their important optical, electrical, and magnetic properties. Zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZNPs) are one of the most versatile nanomaterials due to their excellent chemical and thermal robustness.

Fungal infections pose a significant threat to global health, with rising concerns about drug resistance and limited treatment options. Herbal medicine has emerged as a promising avenue for discovering novel antifungal therapies due to its rich chemical diversity and historical use in traditional healing practices. This study evaluates the antifungal activity of a polyherbal combination using experimental animals. The polyherbal combination consists of several plant extracts known for their antifungal properties. A group of experimental animals was infected with a fungal pathogen, and then treated with the polyherbal combination. The antifungal activity was assessed by measuring various parameters such as fungal load, histopathological changes, and clinical symptoms. Results indicate a significant reduction in fungal load and improvement in clinical symptoms in the treated group compared to the control group. Histopathological examination also revealed a decrease in fungal invasion in the treated animals. These findings suggest that the polyherbal combination possesses promising antifungal activity and could be further explored as a potential therapeutic agent against fungal infections.

Liver is an essential organ. Its plays a main function in metabolism and excretion of xenobiotics from the body. Moreover it is also coping with the metabolism and excretion of medicine and other xenobiotics from the frame there with the aid of supplying safety towards foreign substances by using detoxifying agents and putting them off. The most important capabilities of the liver are carbohydrate, protein, fat metabolism and detoxification, secretion of bile and storage of vitamins. It plays an important role to maintaining various physiological processes in the body. It is involved in several vital functions, such as metabolism, excretion and storage. It plays a central role in the detoxification and excretion of many exogenous and endogenous compounds. Hence, any injury or impairment of its function has grave implications for the health of the affected person. Many more drugs or therapies are available for the treatment of hepatic disorders, but still there is a need for the novel drug discovery which can target multiple disease pathways.

Officials in developing countries like India usually acknowledge the need for better management. However, little efforts are done to improve the situation, and changes take a long period of time. As we know, India's population is equivalent to 17.7% of the total population. With the rise of development of smart cities across India, a Smart Garbage Management system is very necessary. Since the amount of waste is multiplying day by day. It is essential to bring the best approach to manage this problem because the generated waste exceeds 2 billion tones. The existing gms in India practices collection of domestic and industrial waste and dumping into big dumping yards . Solid waste separation is done by laborers which is not so systematic, consumes a lot of time and it is not even completely feasible due to large amounts of garbage. The purpose of this research is to build a real time application which recognizes the type of waste and categorize it into defined categories.

The method of enhancing the soil's engineering qualities, such as its bearing capacity and shear strength is called soil stabilization. Because almost every structure needs a strong foundation on which it can stand firmly. Soils such as sandy soils always suffer from the problem of uneven settlement. Currently, one of the biggest problems facing the world is the disposal of plastic waste. The use of plastic waste for soil stabilization and the use of plastics as a soil stabilizer help solve environmental problems while reducing the problem of plastic waste disposal. The aim of this research is to determine how plastic waste can be used in large-scale civil engineering applications. Disproportionate plastic waste was used to stabilize the soil to improve its properties such as bearing capacity, compaction effect and shear strength parameters.
