 Abstract

Proactive health monitoring and personalised data analysis are the goals of an Internet of Things (IoT) platform for wearable healthcare. Wearable sensor technology is used by the platform to integrate real-time physiological data with a secure and scalable Internet of Things infrastructure. We present the system architecture and describe its components for data acquisition, transmission, processing, and visualisation. This implementation paper describes how HTML, CSS, and JavaScript were used to develop the front end of a wearable healthcare IoT project. The front end functions as the user interface that allows users to enter and view health data gathered from wearable devices. The design decisions, implementation techniques, and difficulties faced during the development process are covered in this paper. The study explores the chosen data analysis algorithms in greater detail, emphasising aspects pertaining to the interpretation of health parameters and potential risk assessment. In addition, the platform's security aspects and user privacy safeguards are looked at. An easy-to-use smartphone app visualises data, provides personalised health recommendations, and creates potential avenues for interaction with healthcare professionals. This platform empowers users through enhanced chronic illness management, personalised insights, early problem detection, early warning systems (EWS), continuous health monitoring, and improved provider-user communication. This project uses wearable technology and IoT integration to promote personalised healthcare and proactive health management.

 Abstract

Background: Good nutrition and regular exercise are important parts of a healthy lifestyle. Research evidence indicates that appropriate diet and exercise during pregnancy lead to reduced maternal and foetal mortality and improve the postnatal life of mother and child. Aim of study: Present study was conducted to explore the awareness of proper diet and exercise among pregnant women in rural areas of Karad, Maharastra India, and its association with socio-demographic factors. Methods: A cross-sectional community-based study was conducted on 80 pregnant women who were registered in Karad. The validated self-structured diet and exercise awareness questionnaire were used to assess the awareness of pregnant women. Socio-demographic data was collected and co-related with diet and exercise awareness. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS software. Results: Among 80 study participants, eight were excluded from the study because of not meeting inclusion criteria. The majority of them (62.5%) were in the age group of 18-25 years. Only 13.9% of rural women were graduated. Most of the pregnant women were from the lower middle class (31.9%), and middle class (27.7%). Most of the women 48.6% and 44.4% were belonged to SC/ ST and OBC category respectively. The study reveals that 53.47% and 33% of pregnant women were found to be aware of proper diet and exercise respectively. Socio-demographic variables such as category, education, occupation, and socioeconomic status of pregnant women were found to be significantly associated with diet and exercise awareness. Women belonging to upper socio-economic group, general category, graduated, and working women were found to be most aware of proper diet and exercise requirement among all pregnant women.Awareness was not related to age, religion and type of family of pregnant women. Conclusions: The level of awareness regarding diet and exercise among pregnant women was not found satisfactory. They do not have proper knowledge and awareness about the various parameters. Improving awareness of diet and exercise among pregnant women will enable them to improve their quality of life during pregnancy, chances of a healthy delivery and postnatal life of mother and child.

 Abstract

Investors invest their fund in the Indian stock markets directly and indirectly through mutual fund schemes. Investment in mutual fund schemes is comparatively less risk because the expert or fund manager of mutual fund schemes diversifies the risk of investment in the stock market and works on behalf of mutual fund investors for their investment in stock markets. During the year 2019-2020, 2020-2021, 2021-2022 and 2022-2023, total fund invested in mainly five types of mutual fund scheme in India, these are Income/Debt Oriented Schemes, Growth/Equity Oriented Schemes, Hybrid Schemes, Solution Oriented Schemes and Other Schemes. These total funds invested in this article are analysed on Net Assets under Management, Scheme Wise Growth and Significant Difference among the different mutual fund schemes. This paper shows that equity oriented schemes and index funds are preferable to investors and Net Assets under Management in different schemes are independently works in the Indian stock markets.

 Abstract

This work investigates the development and optimisation of reinforcement learning for predicting worst-case scenarios in launch vehicle simulations. Simulations take into account various environmental factors that can affect the launch, including wind conditions, temperature, atmospheric pressure and other parameters. Here we are trying to identify potential failure modes and anomalies that can occur during a rocket launch. Reinforcement learning models are trained using an objective function designed to accurately predict worst-case scenarios during a rocket launch. It also provides valuable insights into the factors contributing to worst-case scenarios, enabling targeted strategies for risk mitigation and system improvement. This approach aims to quantify the impact of individual parameters or their combinations on the predicted worst-case outcome. This paper demonstrates the potential of reinforcement learning in enhancing these launch vehicle simulations and fine-tuning algorithms to predict worst-case scenarios accurately. The developed models can inform decision-making and improve the overall resilience and efficiency of space missions by predicting and mitigating worst-case scenarios.

 Abstract

This dissertation explores the intricate relationship between self-esteem, hope, and social support among recent graduates, focusing on the influence of employment status on these psychological factors. Through quantitative analysis, data was collected from both employed and unemployed recent graduates to examine the associations between self-esteem, hope, and social support. The findings revealed significant differences between employed and unemployed recent graduates in terms of self-esteem and hope levels, with unemployed individuals exhibiting lower scores in both domains. Additionally, social support was found to moderate the relationship between employment status and psychological well-being, suggesting that highis levels of perceived support may mitigate the negative impact of unemployment on self-esteem and hope. These findings contribute to our understanding of the psychological challenges faced by recent graduates transitioning into the workforce and highlight the importance of addressing their psychological well-being. The implications of these findings extend to the development of interventions and support programs aimed at enhancing the successful integration of recent graduates into the professional sphere.

 Abstract

In contemporary society, parenting is recognized as a critical determinant of children's well-being and development. Consequently, numerous parenting programs are established to support parents in nurturing their children effectively. However, amidst this plethora of programs, the efficacy of value-based parenting programs remains underexplored. This study aims to address this gap by conducting a comprehensive investigation into the effectiveness of value-based parenting interventions. The research adopts literature review method focused on exploring the efficacy of value-based parenting programs. The review encompasses peer-reviewed articles, books, and other scholarly sources related to parenting interventions, particularly those grounded in values-based approaches. A systematic search of electronic databases such as PubMed, PsycINFO, Google Scholar, and Scopus is conducted using keywords such as "value-based parenting programs," "parenting interventions," "parenting education," and related terms. The search is supplemented by manual searches of reference lists from relevant articles and books to ensure comprehensive coverage of the literature. Inclusion criteria for selecting studies involve focusing on empirical research studies that evaluate the effectiveness of value-based parenting programs in promoting positive parenting outcomes. Studies utilizing various research designs, including randomized controlled trials (RCTs), quasi-experimental designs, and longitudinal studies, are considered for inclusion. The review synthesizes findings from selected studies, examining key outcome variables such as parental stress, child behavior, family functioning, parent-child relationships, and adherence to core values. Additionally, the review explores the mechanisms underlying the effectiveness of value-based parenting programs, including program content, delivery format, and theoretical frameworks guiding the interventions. Quality assessment of included studies is conducted to evaluate the rigor and methodological soundness of the research. This involves assessing factors such as sample size, research design, measurement tools, statistical analyses, and potential sources of bias. Data extraction and synthesis involve systematically organizing and summarizing findings from selected studies, identifying common themes, patterns, and discrepancies across the literature. The review also identifies gaps and areas for future research, highlighting opportunities for advancing knowledge and practice in the field of parenting education. The study's findings hold significant implications for both research and practice in the field of parenting support. By elucidating the efficacy of value-based parenting programs, this research contributes to the evidence base for designing and implementing effective interventions aimed at promoting positive parenting outcomes. Moreover, insights from the qualitative component can inform program refinement and optimization, ensuring that value-based parenting programs are attuned to the needs and preferences of diverse parent populations.
