 Abstract

Youth mental health is a major public health concern which has significant societal and economic burdens globally. Depression is a common mental disorder cutting across age, gender and socioeconomic status in India and across the world. It is associated with disability, loss of quality of life, increased service use, considerable productivity losses, and increased mortality. The percentage of adults who experienced any symptoms of depression was highest among those aged 18-29 (21.0%). Logistic regression was performed to examine the association between mass media uses and depression among undergraduate students. Result shows that 53.8 % of undergraduate students reported themselves as depressed, in which 46.2 % are grouped under low depression, 48.8 % are mild depressed and 5 % are reported as moderate depressed. Undergraduate students with a more frequent use of print media use was associated with significantly higher odds of having symptoms of depression but broadcast media use had negative odd ratio. In our study, social media use had no significant result. Our result also revealed that students who belong to science background had significantly higher depression compared to students who belong to Arts/social sciences.

 Abstract

The present millennium calls for smart, sustainable, and inclusive growth. For this, the society needs inclusive policies. Social inclusion is critical to address the needs of disadvantaged social groups. An inclusive society is a society that over-rides differences of race, gender, class, generation, and geography, and ensures inclusion, equality of opportunity as well as capability of all members of the society to determine an agreed set of social institutions that govern social interaction (Report of the Expert Group Meeting on Promoting Social Integration 2008). The World Summit for Social Development (1995) defines an inclusive society as a "society for all in which every individual, each with rights and responsibilities, has an active role to play". Such an inclusive society must be based on respect for all human rights and fundamental freedoms, cultural and religious diversity, social justice and the special needs of vulnerable and disadvantaged groups, democratic participation and the rule of law. It is promoted by social policies that seek to cut down inequality and create flexible and tolerant societies that embrace all people

 Abstract

This research paper presents an in-depth investigation into the design and comparative analysis of special purpose vehicles (SPVs) under critical load cases, utilizing a combined plate design comprising both IS2062 and Armox materials. SPVs are purpose-built vehicles designed to manage specialized tasks that demand exceptional structural integrity and performance under extreme load conditions. In this study, the mechanical properties, including strength, stiffness, and impact resistance, of the novel IS2062 and Armox combined plate material configuration are evaluated when subjected to a 4-ton dead weight. The research methodology encompasses a comprehensive analysis, including structural design considerations, finite element analysis (FEA), and simulations of critical load cases. The material properties of IS2062 and Armox, such as tensile strength, yield strength, and ductility, are characterized. FEA is employed to investigate stress distribution, deformation behavior, and failure modes experienced by the SPVs under the specified load condition. Furthermore, a comparative study is conducted to assess the performance of the combined plate material configuration in terms of weight, cost, and structural integrity, compared to conventional materials commonly used in SPV design, such as SSAB steel. The findings contribute to the understanding of utilizing a combination of IS2062 and Armox materials for designing SPVs, shedding light on their potential advantages and suitability for critical load cases. The research outcomes offer valuable insights for future advancements in SPV design, particularly in terms of material selection and structural optimization to enhance overall performance and safety.

 Abstract

The most sensitive and important data are stored on servers; strong security is required to avoid data theft and misuse. When an intrusion occurs in a system, an intrusion detection system (IDS) is used to identify it and alert the admin. A network and devices are inspected by an IDS for malicious activity or policy breaches. Any unlawful behaviour or a violation is often captured continuously using a security information and event management system and notified to an admin. In order to differentiate between hostile behaviour and spurious reports, a SIEM system aggregates outputs from many sources and use event filtering algorithms. In order to track traffic to and from all networked devices, intrusion detection systems (IDS) are installed at one or more strategically located locations inside the network. Our study is on UNSW_NB15 dataset which comprises of different attacks.

 Abstract

IIR filter plays an major role in the emerging wireless communication and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) applications. Designing multiplier less FIR filter for low complexity reduces the overall performance. Hence the optimization technique is proposed to optimize filter coefficients of finite-impulse response (FIR) filter to share common sub expressions within and among coefficients. The Binary Common Sub expression (BCS) algorithm is done to prove its efficiency over all other existing methods. The BCS technique uses partial product generator which forms the partial products for the input signal and coefficients. The complexity and speed can be improved and it is compared with all other existing methods. The simulation was done using Modelsim and the hardware synthesis was done using EDA tools.
