This research paper examines Marlon James's debut novel John Crow's Devil (2005) through a postcolonial and psycho-spiritual lens. The novel, set in 1950s rural Jamaica, presents a symbolic clash between religious ideologies, masculine power structures, and the lingering traumas of colonialism. By deploying elements of magical realism, biblical allegory, and gothic horror, James constructs a narrative that critiques authoritarianism and explores the cyclical nature of violence within oppressed societies. This paper investigates the novel's key themes, historical context, character dynamics, and stylistic innovations to understand its commentary on religion, memory, and cultural identity.

This paper explores the recurring themes of existentialism and alienation in the novels of Arun Joshi, one of India's most profound psychological and philosophical fiction writers. Through a close reading of his major works--The Foreigner, The Strange Case of Billy Biswas, The Apprentice, and The Last Labyrinth--the study highlights how Joshi's protagonists are often educated, urban individuals who feel disconnected from their surroundings and themselves. Caught in a conflict between modern materialism and a deeper spiritual longing, they undergo existential crises marked by isolation, disillusionment, and a desperate search for meaning. The paper also examines how Joshi blends Western existential philosophy with Indian spiritual traditions, offering a unique lens through which human suffering and self-realization are depicted. Ultimately, the study reveals how Joshi's fiction not only reflects the alienation of the postcolonial Indian psyche but also universalizes the inner turmoil of modern existence.

Clitoria ternatea, or butterfly pea, produces edible blue flowers rich in anthocyanins, especially ternatins, which give the petals their vibrant blue color. Anthocyanins were extracted from 5.301 g of fresh petals using hot water, showing good thermal and storage stability. Phytochemical analysis confirmed the presence of steroids, tannins and flavonoids, indicating its potential in dye industries. Cotton fabric samples were dyed with butterfly pea flower extract in combination with mordants such as alum, copper sulfate, ferrous sulfate, and sodium hydroxide. Copper sulfate and ferrous sulphate proved most effective in fixing the dye.

Cosmetics are substances used to enhance the appearance or odour of the human body. Cosmetics include skin-care creams, lotions, powders, perfumes, lipsticks, fingernail and toe nail polish, eye and facial makeup, permanent waves, coloured contact lenses, hair colours, hair sprays and gels, deodorants, baby products, bath oils, bubble baths, bath salts, butters and many other types of products. A subset of cosmetics is called "make-up," which refers primarily to coloured products intended to alter the user's appearance. Many manufacturers distinguish between decorative cosmetics and care cosmetics. In the last three-four decades the use of cosmetics has increased exponentially not only among females but the male population also indulges in their use. Hair dyes, hair oil, creams are as popular with males as with females. Most countries now have laws to control, manufacturing, label, sale etc. of cosmetics in such a way that use of cosmetics harmful to health is prevented.

In this paper we present a novel approach to characterize quantitatively the theme of different literary texts. For this we choose the parameter namely Shanon Entropy and apply it to two sets of literary texts. First one is a defined theme of suspense thriller authored by Agatha Christie and second set consists of texts of different themes of celebrated authors. The analysis clearly indicates the first set of the same theme possess more or less the same Shanon entropy where the second set entropy value varies from book to book. This quantitative study reveals that 'Shanon Entropy' is a very useful and effective parameter for characterization and assessing the order of complexity in different literary texts.

Cardio vascular diseases (CVDs) remain the leading global cause of death, with heart attacks and strokes comprising approximately 85% of CVD-related fatalities. To support early detection and intervention, we developed a web-based application that predicts an individual's risk of heart disease using key health indicators such as blood pressure, cholesterol, age, and lifestyle factors. The system employs multiple machine learning models--Logistic Regression, SVM, Decision Tree, Random Forest, and K-Nearest Neighbours--to ensure accurate, personalized risk assessments through model comparison and ensemble techniques. Users can input data, receive instant evaluations, and generate detailed reports. Built with robust CI/CD pipelines, the platform is scalable, secure, and performance-optimized, aiming to democratize predictive healthcare and support global CVD prevention efforts.

Abstract: The integration of multiple energy sources in a DC microgrid enhances reliability, efficiency, and sustainability. This study explores the hybridization of solar photovoltaic (PV), battery, and supercapacitor systems to ensure a stable and continuous power supply. The solar PV serves as the primary energy source, while the battery acts as a backup to compensate for solar intermittency. The supercapacitor is incorporated to handle transient power demands and improve system dynamics by providing fast response during load variations. A power management strategy is implemented to optimize energy distribution among the sources and maintain stable DC bus voltage. The system is modeled and simulated in MATLAB/Simulink, with performance evaluation conducted under varying load and environmental conditions. The results demonstrate improved power quality, enhanced voltage regulation, and increased efficiency in the hybrid microgrid. This research contributes to the development of resilient and energy-efficient microgrid solutions for sustainable power applications. Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) combines the learning capability of artificial neural networks (ANN) with the reasoning ability of fuzzy logic. When applied to the hybridization of solar, battery, and super-capacitor systems.

ABSTRACT This research examines the relationship between the features of animated character designs and their inevitable role in enhancing the visual storytelling. Animated movies and their visual attractiveness and captivating nature are often studied and discussed. Still, the elements that are used in a character design, like colour, shape, silhouette, proportions, facial features, etc, have not been extensively studied. The research explores how the character designs visually communicate the meaning of narrative, emotional arcs, communicate personality traits, and character transformations throughout the story to the audience. This study adopts a qualitative method using a semiotic analysis method that applies formal, contextual, and comparative analysis to study a variety of animated characters and their features from diverse narration styles and roles. The research tried to understand the core ideas used by the creators to convey their plot, personality, and narrative progression, and the narrative role of the characters to the audience through the effective utilization of these features. The research bridges the gap in the studies related to animated character design and visual storytelling, alongside providing insights through practical demonstration to understand the visual narration process and patterns more effectively to convey the right meaning. Findings of the study state that the features of character designs convey the story, and emotions associated with them to the audience. Beyond aesthetic choices, these features function as tools for visual storytelling, which will help to convey the ideas through appearance and movements even when no dialogues are used.
