ABSTRACT The spread of COVID-19 worldwide has enforced many governments to suspend in-person schooling. According to UNESCO (2020), more than 100 countries had temporarily closed schools, which have affected 91% of students.. The present study aimed to know the parents involvement in early childhood education during COVID-19 pandemic. The sample for the research work consisted of 80 parents. The sample was selected from eight preschools in Jammu City. Data was collected through a self-administered questionnaire and both qualitative and quantitative analysis was done. The findings revealed that parents involvement in early childhood care and education was affected by the pandemic, with parents facing various challenges such as limited access to resources, changes in work and home environments, and increased stress. Both mothers and fathers reported increased involvement in their children's education, with many taking on new roles and responsibilities in response to the challenges of online learning. However, the study also identified several barriers to parental involvement, including lack of access to technology and educational resources, and competing demands on parents time. The study also revealed that the majority of parents have the necessary facilities and infrastructure available for learning activities at home, there is still a considerable number who do not have access to resources and faced challenges such as poor internet connectivity, technical, issues with online platform. The study also found differences in the level and nature of involvement between parents, mothers were more likely to take on the primary role of educator and to engaged in activities such as reading to their children and helping with homework. Fathers, on the other hand, were more likely to provide practical support, such as setting up technology for remote learning and providing emotional support. Efforts should be made to support and engage parents, and to develop strategies for addressing the specific barrier faced by parents.

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a prevalent endocrine disorder among women of reproductive age, characterized by a variety of symptoms including menstrual irregularities, hyperandrogenism, and polycystic ovaries. Accurate and early prediction of PCOS is essential for effective management and treatment. This study presents a comprehensive approach to predicting PCOS using machine learning techniques, focusing on data integration, feature engineering, and model optimization. We collected a diverse dataset comprising demographic, clinical, hormonal, and ultrasound features from a cohort of women. Rigorous data preprocessing steps, including normalization, imputation, and encoding, were employed to ensure data quality and consistency. Advanced feature engineering techniques were applied to enhance the predictive power of the input variables, followed by the selection of the most relevant features through correlation analysis and feature importance metrics. Various machine learning models, including Logistic Regression, Random Forest, Support Vector Machines, and Neural Networks, were trained and evaluated. Hyper parameter tuning was conducted using Grid Search and Cross-Validation to optimize model performance. The models were assessed based on accuracy, precision, recall, F1 score, and ROC-AUC metrics. Our results demonstrate that the optimized Random Forest model achieved the highest predictive accuracy and robustness, with a notable improvement in identifying PCOS cases compared to traditional diagnostic methods. The study highlights the potential of machine learning in enhancing PCOS diagnosis, offering a reliable, non-invasive, and scalable solution for clinical application. Future work will focus on integrating genetic data and expanding the dataset to further improve model generalizability and accuracy. This research underscores the importance of leveraging machine learning in medical diagnostics and provides a foundation for developing advanced predictive tools for PCOS and other complex disorders.

A mood illness called depression can cause a person to feel depressed, guilty, have trouble sleeping, and experience bilateral neurologic symptoms, arthralgia. Physical therapy can assist address musculoskeletal disorders and concurrently organize treatment sessions to help reduce depressive symptoms. The social and psychological variables that lead to, worsen, and trigger a recurrence of depression in academically accomplished young people require greater focus. . Major depressive episodes are directly correlated with feelings of generalized guilt. When individuals encounter significant depressive episodes, guilt may be a focus for therapeutic and preventive measures.According to the DSM-5, depression is the diagnosis for feelings of hopelessness and melancholy, We employed the HAMD-17 to gauge the intensity of symptoms and the ICD-10 criteria to make a clinical diagnosis of depression in our patients.Throughout the course of treatment, we paid close attention to the psychological, cultural, and societal elements that may have delayed seeking professional assistance, contributed to the illness's genesis, or may have explained the recurrence of depressive episodes. . Therefore, it is crucial to recognize the significant impact these factors play in the onset, development, and recurrence of mental health issues.

This study has In today's society, women often bear a disproportionate share of responsibilities within their families. Factors such as domestic violence, sexual assault, and kidnapping have forced many women to seek refuge within the safety of their homes. However, even in the modern era, women continue to face the distressing reality of sexual harassment and assault. Recent surveys have shown that a staggering 84 percent of women have experienced harassment in various settings. The prevalence of crimes against women is alarming, necessitating the development of a comprehensive protection framework to ensure their safety and well-being. Amidst these challenges, technology offers hope for improving the living standards and safety of women. One potential avenue is the use of technology in women's safety devices. These devices come equipped with various sensors and features to address the growing security needs of our society. The primary objective of these devices is to maximize the security and protection of women without relying on technology. They are engineered to provide enhanced safety measures, encompassing a wide spectrum of potential threats women may encounter in their daily lives. These devices aim to harness technology to bolster the safety and security of women, contributing to a safer and more equitable world for them.

Abstract - In the face of growing energy demands and environmental concerns, effective energy conservation methods are critical. This paper presents an Smart Energy Conservation System (SECS) designed for the Mechanical Engineering Department, leveraging the Internet of Things (IoT) to monitor and control energy consumption in residential and commercial environments. The system integrates various sensors and actuators to automate energy-saving measures, providing real-time data and remote control capabilities through a cloud platform. The SECS architecture includes IoT-enabled devices such as Arduino and NodeMCU microcontrollers, alongside sensors for temperature, humidity, light, and motion, as well as actuators like relays and smart plugs. These components collect real-time data on environmental conditions and energy usage, transmitting it to a centralized cloud platform, Adafruit IO. This platform processes the data and offers users remote monitoring and control through an intuitive interface. In our experimental setup, the SECS was deployed in a typical residential environment to manage lighting, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems based on occupancy and ambient conditions. For example, lights were programmed to turn off when no motion was detected, and HVAC systems were adjusted to maintain optimal temperatures only when rooms were occupied. Experimental results demonstrated significant energy savings, with an average reduction of approximately 30% in lighting and 20% in HVAC operations compared to manual control methods. Additionally, the system provided insights into energy usage patterns, allowing users to make informed decisions for further conservation. The SECS is both scalable and flexible, enabling easy expansion with additional sensors and actuators. Its modular design ensures seamless integration with existing home automation systems, while the cloud-based platform offers remote access and control, enhancing user convenience. In conclusion, the Smart Energy Conservation System represents a significant advancement in energy conservation for the Mechanical Engineering Department. By leveraging IoT technology, the SECS facilitates substantial energy savings and improves user experience, presenting a promising solution to meet modern energy demands and environmental challenges.

Formwork is a critical element in civil engineering construction projects, constituting a significant portion of the total expenditure. Maximizing productivity and optimizing formwork usage cycles are paramount for efficient project execution. This paper conducts a comparative analysis between conventional formwork technologies and the underutilized plastic formwork systems in the Indian construction sector. Historically, formwork selection has relied on subjective judgments, but the advantages of plastic formwork, including flexibility, durability, and cost-effectiveness, are gaining attention. Plastic formwork offers sustainability through recyclability, reusability, and eco-friendliness. Its lightweight design, rapid construction capabilities, and stringent quality control make it particularly suitable for projects with standardized dimensions. These technologies ensure precise results, superior construction quality, cost optimization, and reduced construction duration, positioning them as superior methods for construction projects.
