 Abstract

The ability to communicate is fundamental to the human experience, but for the deaf and mute communities, this can be a challenge. Sign language is an essential tool for communication among these communities, but it requires a certain level of expertise to comprehend and use it. To address this issue, we propose a Sign Language Detection system that utilizes various sensors such as Flex Sensor, Gyroscope Sensor, and a Bluetooth Module, along with a Mobile Application and an LCD Module. The system operates by detecting the movements of the hand and wrist using the Flex Sensor and Gyroscope Sensor. These sensors detect the angle and bend of the fingers and wrist, respectively, and convert these movements into digital signals. The system is built on an Arduino platform and aims to enhance communication between the hearing and the deaf/mute communities. The proposed Sign Language Detection system is a significant step towards bridging the communication gap between the hearing and deaf/mute communities. By utilizing various sensors and a Mobile Application, the system can accurately detect and translate sign language into text, making communication more accessible and efficient. it allows for real-time communication, as the system processes the signals and translates them instantly. Finally, it is cost-effective and easy to use, making it accessible to a wide range of users.

 Abstract

To provide vaccination against infection due to 2009 pandemic influenza A virus subtype H1N1 (A[H1N1]pdm09) to resource-constrained countries with otherwise very little access to the A(H1N1)pdm09 vaccine, the World Health Organization (WHO) coordinated distribution of donated vaccine to selected countries worldwide, including those in Africa. From February through November 2010, 32.2 million doses were delivered to 34 countries in Africa. Of the 19.2 million doses delivered to countries that reported their vaccination activities to WHO, 12.2 million doses (64%) were administered. Population coverage in these countries varied from 0.4% to 11%, with a median coverage of 4%. All countries targeted pregnant women (median proportion of all vaccine doses administered [mpv], 21% [range, 4%-72%]) and healthcare workers (mpv, 9% [range, 1%-73%]).

 Abstract

Standardization of unani herbal formulations is very much essential to justify the quality of a medicine.Unani medicines have played a significant role in maintaining of human health. These medicines are accepted as important therapeutic agents for the treatment of various kind of diseases. But in many instances, it has been noticed that incorrect raw materials have been added in the formulations which has resulted adulterated product in market place. In Unani system of medicine, there are hundreds of single drugs and compound formulations which are used by a large population of several countries to a great advantage. One such drug Sufoof-e-Ziabetus Dulabi is very popular Unani formulation used for Ziabetus Sadiq (Diabetes) and Zof-e- kulya (weakness of kidney). The drug was taken for evaluation through various scientific parameters such as microscopy, physico-chemical analysis and HPTLC fingerprinting. Powder microscopy studies produced in the present study will help in developing pharmacopoeial standards of Sufoof-e-Ziabetus Dulabi

 Abstract

For people who cannot speak or hear anything, the only way to communicate is through language. Sign language is a useful tool for people with disabilities to express their thoughts and feelings. In this study, a new language recognition system is proposed for the recognition of letters and gestures in the language. With the help of computer vision and neural networks, we can capture the signals and provide the corresponding tags. Nonverbal people use descriptive words and gestures to communicate. It is difficult for people to understand their language. Therefore, a system must recognize different signs, gestures and convey information to people. It bridges the gap between disabled and healthy people. Effective interpreters are an important way for the deaf to communicate with the public. Therefore, we present here the development and implementation of a convolutional neural network-based finger writing translator for American Sign Language (ASL). We use pre-trained Google.Net architecture for training. For first-time users, we are making a strong model that distributes the letters a-z correctly, and another model that shows the difference between the letters a-k in general. Due to the limitations of the dataset and the support provided, we are confident in further research and further information.

 Abstract

Suspicious activity identification from surveillance video is an effective research area of image processing and computer vision. Detecting suspicious activities is significant for maintaining the security of organizations and communities. Surveillance cameras are mostly used in public areas to monitor and secure safety. It is difficult to observe public places continuously, so hence intelligent video surveillance is needed that can detect human activity in real-time and classify them as non-suspicious & suspicious activities. To solve these problems, we will create a Long-term recurrent convolutional network (LRCN) system to record the CCTV footage and to detect suspicious & non-suspicious activities. The system is also used to generate an alarm that will inform the user if any suspicious activities are detected.

 Abstract

The problem of girl-child marriage in today's society deserves special thought and discussion. One of the concepts needs to be clarified, understood, accepted, enforced and put into practice. Children, especially girls who are the weaker parts of the community, represent the innocent, helpless, vulnerable, and intolerable elements of society, therefore this has become an even more important topic for discussion. Gombe Local Government Area consists of people that are predominantly the Fulani tribe. The Fulani are battling with many social problems including that child marriage. Contemporary studies have shown that Globalization and its influence are some of those problems that affected the lives of the people in various ways in the community. In Marriage, for instance, the Fulani community of Gombe metropolis, located in the heart of Gombe State, Nigeria has suffered several issues that are related to marital instability, domestic violence, and divorce. This paper, therefore, explained the negative impacts of Globalization as the causative factor to the above-mentioned social problems. However, concerning the methodology, the paper has adopted the qualitative method to interview the victims of the problems enforced by Globalization. The findings have also shown that the influence of western culture has played a major role in changing the marriage pattern, and the marital lives of the Fulani community of the Gombe Metropolis.

 Abstract

Big data has caused an exponential growth in data generation, making it possible that traditional data processing tools and methodologies won't be able to handle the sheer amount of data. Working with large datasets presents a number of issues, including high processing costs and storage needs. Furthermore, it can take a lot of time and computing power to analyze and extract insights from such huge databases, making it challenging for academics, analysts, and organizations to get usable information from data. A method for easing the difficulties of working with massive data is data reduction. It entails minimizing the amount of data while keeping the pertinent data required for analysis. Data reduction strategies are created to retain the accuracy and quality of the data while maximizing the usage of processing power and storage space. Reduction by homogeneous clusters is a useful technique for data reduction. Groups of data points that fall into the same class or category are referred to as homogeneous clusters. The goal of homogeneous clustering is to put together data items with comparable features, such as size, shape, colour, or other characteristics, in one group. The dataset may be compressed without losing the crucial details required for analysis by grouping data points into homogenous groups. The cheap preprocessing cost of homogeneous clustering is one of its main benefits. This indicates that preprocessing the data before clustering involves just a little amount of time and resources. A variety of datasets, including those with high-dimensional data, can use homogeneous clustering. To find the best method suitable for dataset reduction, it is necessary to compare all available dataset reduction methods and identify the most appropriate one.

Abstract: Digital Payments Propelled by recent policy initiatives and is the gateway to technological advancement. In the present scenario India's digital payment system is promising success story. The country has seen a tremendous increase in the usage of digital payments. A digital payment, also known as an electronic payment, is the transfer of value from one payment account to another using a digital device such as a mobile phone. Mode of digital payment commonly used by the citizens of the country are bank transfers, mobile money, and payment through credit, debit, Paytm, Phonepe, Google Pay, Amazon pay, JioMoney, Freecharge, Mobikwik, PayUMoney, digital wallets, UPI, BHIM and prepaid cards etc. This transformation towards digital payments methods benefits in more transparency in transactions which empowers the country's economy. Since the launch of IMPS by NPCI in 2010 until the release of UPI in 2016, the digital payment system has evolved several times. The study is an attempt to analyze how the various forms of digital payment evolved in the past and how COVID-19 impacted the digital payment systems in India. The study concludes that digital payments in India recorded a robust growth of 26.2 per cent in terms of volume during 2020-21 on top of the expansion of 44.2 per cent in the previous year. Lastly, it has been observed that after COVID-19 pandemic, people were concerned about health regulations and were afraid of cash transactions which made them switch to this mode, resulting in a rise in the usage of different modes of digital payment systems. The objective of this research paper is to study the positive impact that Digitalization of payment system. The present paper focuses on the analysis of the adoption level of these digital payment systems by customers. Primary data was collected from 50 respondents in Mysore.
