Modern democratic processes require electoral frameworks that ensure ballot confidentiality, transparent result verification, and absolute voter authenticity. While conventional centralized e-voting architectures frequently compromise at least one of these critical security pillars, decentralized blockchain solutions often introduce severe usability hurdles, particularly regarding cryptocurrency wallet management. To bridge this gap, this paper introduces BlockVote, a comprehensive decentralized electronic voting system that merges Ethereum smart contracts with a robust multi-modal biometric authentication framework. Our proposed architecture utilizes a ResNet-34 facial recognition model to extract 128-dimensional face embeddings, alongside WebAuthn/FIDO2-compliant fingerprint verification. For initial voter onboarding, the system leverages Aadhaar-based national identity cross-referencing paired with an email-delivered one-time password (OTP). To strictly enforce a one-person, one-vote policy, we implemented an exhaustive Euclidean-distance comparison against all stored facial profiles during registration, utilizing a rigorous duplicate threshold (?dup = 0.45). Furthermore, the entire election lifecycle is governed by a three-phase state machine embedded within a Solidity smart contract, guaranteeing an immutable audit ledger. To eliminate cryptocurrency-related friction, a gasless voting relay abstracts transaction fees away from the end-user. Privacy is strictly maintained by processing biometric data locally within the browser and recording only the SHA-256 hash of the voter's email on the public blockchain. Comprehensive Truffle/Mocha testing validates the system's resilience against double-voting and unauthorized access. Finally, we discuss current limitations and future enhancements, including liveness detection and zero-knowledge proofs for enhanced ballot secrecy

Police personnel perform critical duties under stressful and demanding conditions. Long working hours, shift duties, exposure to traumatic events, and occupational stress can negatively affect their family relationships and overall quality of life. Family relationships play a significant role in providing emotional support, resilience, and psychological well-being to police officers. The present systematic review aims to examine the existing literature on the relationship between family relationships and quality of life among police personnel. A review of empirical studies published between 2004 and 2025 was conducted. The findings indicate that supportive family environments, marital satisfaction, family cohesion, and social support are positively associated with quality of life, whereas family conflict, work-family imbalance, and marital strain are negatively associated with well-being. The review highlights the importance of family-centred interventions and organisational policies to improve the quality of life of police personnel.

Skin manifestaions are common and frequently necessitate at least accurate diagnosis if not specific treatment. Conventional methods of diagnosis may be subjective, time-consuming and inconsistent. In this paper, we present an AI-based system for skin disease classification that integrates dermoscopic image analysis, patient demographics, and medical history running on a Flask web server. The model is a deep convolutional neural network (CNN) that has been trained on skin disease repositories to forecast states from the provided images. To increase interpretability, Grad- CAM heatmaps are provided to clin icians, indicating regions of interest, while brief and simple textual summaries are given to patients as easily understandable e xplanations. This system gathers patient information like name, age, gender, medical history and the predictions to formulate a comprehensive, multimodal diagnostic report. Results show that the solution enhances not only diagnostic accuracy but also trust, interpretability and inclusiveness in healthcare.

The kingdom Fungi comprises magnificent biodiversity and includes some of the most diverse species on Earth. Mushrooms possess both cosmetic and therapeutic applications, making them valuable ingredients for cosmetic products. Cosmeceuticals combine these benefits by delivering active ingredients to the skin in a biologically effective form. They have been widely used in East Asia for centuries, and their demand has recently increased due to the growing preference for safer, cost-effective, toxin-free, and organic products. This rising demand for sustainable products has encouraged extensive research into the cosmetic potential of mushrooms. Fruiting bodies of several wild and cultivable mushroom species, rich in medicinal compounds and secondary metabolites, are now being utilized in the cosmetic industry. Various bioactive compounds isolated from medicinal mushrooms, such as ceramides, omega-3, omega-6, and omega-9 fatty acids, carotenoids, lentinans, and resveratrol, exhibit remarkable antioxidant properties. Species of medicinal mushrooms widely used in cosmeceuticals include Agaricus subrufescens, Cordyceps sinensis, Ganoderma lucidum, Grifola frondosa, Inonotus obliquus, Lentinula edodes, Tremella fuciformis, and Polyporus species. The topical application of mushroom extracts offers numerous skin benefits, including the prevention of photoaging, enhanced skin hydration, and antioxidant protection against pollution and ultraviolet (UV) damage. In the past, most cosmetic formulations primarily relied on plant-based ingredients. However, recent advances in the understanding of the anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and free radical scavenging properties of medicinal mushrooms have revealed significant opportunities for their utilization in the cosmetic industry. By integrating these beneficial properties with modern genomics and pharmacological approaches, the development and evolution of mainstream fungal-based cosmetics can be successfully achieved.

Scanning might be fast, yet metal within the body scrambles the clarity of CT images. Implants - from joint replacements to dental work, spine screws, staples, or heart gadgets - bring streaks and shadowy zones that muddy the view. Blotches spread across scans so crucial structures hide in warped regions, tripping up precise evaluations. More elderly individuals now live with implanted tools, raising pressure to tackle visual flaws in imaging. Sharper methods to reduce interference change how clearly doctors observe tissue beneath distortions.Heavy stuff throws off scanner results, each method handling it a bit differently. From the moment beams hit metal, what you see shifts if voltage climbs or current gets stronger. Some machines skip relying just on raw signals, instead running repeated math tweaks to straighten bent images. Before anything shows up on screen, warped projections get patched during early stages. Unlike older single-setting systems, dual-energy setups pull apart material traits more cleanly. Lately, machines trained to recognize shapes have started improving outcomes by analyzing vast sets of pictures. Their success rides mostly on how they're tuned - also influenced by what kind of device muddies the data.Metal alters scan quality. This study examines the physical principles driving these changes, then considers current hospital strategies meant to lessen their impact. Because joint research draws increasing interest, along with spine checks, dental work, face bone imaging, tumor treatment, cardiac views, and trauma assessment, varied techniques start to stand apart. Devices such as photon-counting sensors appear alongside computational models built using deep learning layers. Improvement emerges clearly - images grow clearer, decisions improve, doubt shrinks when patients have implants. Future efforts aim at fine-tuning outcomes so readings stay dependable even with internal devices.

Abstract: Nyishi customary law is one of the most ancient and indigenous systems of law in Arunachal Pradesh which is still prevalent in the regulation of social conduct, dispute settlements and creation of harmony in the community. This research paper aims at studying the rules and norms of crime and its punishment in the Nyishi customary law system, particularly focusing on East Kameng District, Arunachal Pradesh, India. The main objectives of the research include identification of the crimes in terms of Nyishi customary practices, analysis of the offenses committed, traditional ways of conflict resolution, and the kinds of punishments given to the culprits. A descriptive research design was employed, and the data were collected using primary and secondary sources. Primary data were collected through interviews and observations conducted on Gaon Burahs, Nyagam Abho, Nyabu Abho, customary law members, and elder citizens from various villages. Secondary data were collected from books, articles, government documents, and other related literature. The study shows that criminal activities like theft, assault, adultery, rape, kidnapping, defamation, and breach of trust are offenses under the Nyishi customary law. The customary law system puts emphasis on compensations, reconciliation, accountability, and involvement of the whole community. The traditional bodies like the Nyelee still remain a functional forum for the resolution of disputes. Though the presence of modern legal institutions, many people from the Nyishi tribe prefer customary law due to its accessibility, cultural acceptability, cost-effectiveness, and capability of providing immediate justice. The study comes to a conclusion that Nyishi customary law is a significant institution that helps maintain tribal identity, social unity, and community-based justice among the Nyishi tribes.
