 Abstract

Abstract Background: Satva Sarata is an Ayurvedic construct describing the excellence of Satva, encompassing mental strength, emotional stability, intellectual capacity and positive behavioural qualities. It is assessed under Sara Pariksha, one of the ten components of Dashavidha Atura Pariksha, and its classical description includes qualities such as Smriti (memory), Bhakti (devotion), Krutajnata (gratitude), Prajna (wisdom), Dhira (courage) and freedom from excessive grief.1,2 Methodology: This is a narrative review. Classical Ayurvedic texts, principally the Vimana Sthana of the Charaka Samhita, were consulted for the conceptual basis of Satva Sarata. Contemporary literature was identified through PubMed, Google Scholar and Ayurveda-specific databases, including DHARA, using the keywords 'Satva Sara', 'Satva Sarata', 'Manas Prakriti', 'resilience', 'emotional maturity' and 'Chittodvega'. Peer-reviewed articles published in English between 2012 and 2025 were prioritised; classical commentaries were included irrespective of publication year. As a narrative rather than systematic review, no formal quality-appraisal protocol was applied. Discussion: Several classical attributes of Satva Sarata show conceptual overlap with contemporary psychological constructs, particularly resilience3,4 and emotional maturity.6 Empirical studies linking Manas Prakriti to stress, anxiety and depression provide preliminary evidence for psychological correlates of Satva-related constructs,5 although validated, standardised instruments for Satva Sarata itself remain limited.8 Conclusion: Satva Sarata offers a multidimensional Ayurvedic framework for understanding individual differences in mental strength. While conceptually related to resilience and emotional maturity, it remains a distinct construct that should not be treated as their equivalent. Further validated, standardised research is required before it can be meaningfully integrated into personalised mental healthcare.

 Abstract

Electronic voting has become an important area of research due to the increasing use of digital technologies in election processes. A secure voting system must provide voter authentication, vote integrity, privacy, reliability and protection against unauthorized access. India currently uses Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) with Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT), which is fundamentally different from Internet-based voting. This paper studies existing electronic and web-based voting approaches and identifies major security challenges associated with online voting. Based on these challenges, a secure web-based e-voting framework is proposed for controlled and institutional elections. The proposed framework includes authenticated voter access, role-based authorization, election management, candidate management, duplicate-vote prevention, secure database operations and automated result generation. Security measures such as password protection, parameterized database queries, session management, input validation and secure communication are considered. The proposed framework is evaluated conceptually against important security requirements including authentication, integrity, confidentiality, availability and non-duplication. The study concludes that web-based voting can improve accessibility and administrative efficiency for suitable controlled elections, but Internet-based voting introduces significant cybersecurity and privacy challenges. Therefore, further research is required in areas such as cryptographic verification, privacy preservation and end-to-end verifiable voting.

 Abstract

ABSTRACT: Boerhavia diffusa Linn, known as Punarnava and as Mookirattai in regional language, is a leafy herb traditionally used for its health benefits due to its rich content of bioactive compounds, antioxidants, and nutrients. This study explores the potential of adding powdered Mookirattai leaves to the developed nutri bar using popped pearl millet aimed to improve its nutritional value and functional qualities. Different variations were made by incorporating varying amounts of Boerhavia diffusa leaf powder to the overall accepted nutri bar variation formulated. The enriched nutri bar showed favorable sensory evaluation for the variation which had 19.5 percent Boerhavia diffusa Linn leaf powder, confirming that adding Mookirattai leaves was acceptable in terms of color, flavor, taste, texture and overall acceptability. Overall, incorporating Boerhavia diffusa into millet-based nutri bars show promise for creating a healthy, nutrient-rich snack. Further studies could focus on maximizing the health benefits and maintaining the bioactive components during processing and storage.

 Abstract

Hindi holds a mandatory place in school curricula across many non-Hindi speaking states in India. Traditional grammar-translation and rote memorization methods still dominate these classrooms. Students memorize vocabulary lists, grammar rules, and sample answers without gaining conversational skill. This paper examines Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) as an alternative approach. CLT prioritizes meaningful interaction over mechanical drilling. This paper reviews existing research, presents a comparative analysis of teaching outcomes, and offers concrete recommendations for teachers, curriculum designers, and policymakers. The findings show that CLT improves speaking confidence, listening comprehension, and long-term retention among students in states such as Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, West Bengal, and Punjab. The paper also identifies barriers to CLT adoption, including teacher training gaps, exam-oriented assessment systems, and limited classroom resources.
